| Summary, etc. | Sixty-eight women participated in this study. Their ages ranged from 40 to 60 years. They were selected from National Cancer Institute, Cairo, Egypt and divided randomly into two groups equal in number. Group (A) received 30 min Endermologie 3 times per week in addition to routine physical therapy program (manual lymphatic drainage, active range of motion and elevation), hygiene and skin care for 6 weeks. While Group (B) received 30 min Negative Pressure Therapy 3 times per week in addition to routine physical therapy program (manual lymphatic drainage, active range of motion and elevation), hygiene and skin care for 6 weeks. Upper limb lymphedema was evaluated by limb volume measurement and disability of upper limb was evaluated by disability of arm, shoulder and hand questionnaire(Q-DASH) before and after 6 weeks of the intervention Conclusion: Endermologie was more effective than Negative Pressure Therapy in reducing upper limb volume and disability level in postmastectomy lymphedema. |

| Summary, etc. | أجريت هذه الدراسة لتقييم ومقارنة فعالية الإندرمولوجي و الضغط السلبى العلاجى على الوذمة الليمفاوية عقب إستئصال الثدى. حيث شارك فى هذه الرسالة ٦٨ سيدة تعانى من الوذمة الليمفاوية عقب إستئصال الثدى، تراوحت أعمارهن من ٤٠ إلى ٦٠ عاما. تم إختيار المرضى من المعهد القومى للأورام وتم تقسيمهم عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين فى العدد . تلقت المجموعة (أ) : ٣٠ دقيقة من الإندرمولوجي٣ مرات فى الأسبوع بالإضافة إلى برنامج العلاج الطبيعي (التصريف الليمفاوي اليدوي، تمرينات الحركة والرفع)، النظافة والعناية بالجلد لمدة ٦ أسابيع، بينما تلقت المجموعة (ب): ٣٠ دقيقة من الضغط السلبى العلاجى٣ مرات فى الأسبوع باالاضافه الى برنامج العلاج الطبيعى (التصريف الليمفاوي اليدوي ، تمرينات الحركة والرفع)، النظافة والعناية بالجلد لمدة ٦ أسابيع. تم تقييم التورم الليمفاوي فى الأطراف العلوية عن طريق قياس حجم الأطراف العلوية ونسبة الاعاقه قبل وبعد العلاج.وقد أظهرت النتائج أن هناك انخفاض ذو دلالة إحصائية فى المجموعتين فى متوسط قيمة قياسات حجم الأطراف العلوية وكذلك انخفاض نسبة الاعاقه ولكن فى المجموعة الأولى (أ) أكثر من المجموعة الثانيه(ب). وبعد مناقشة هذه النتائج وتحليلها ، تبين أن كلا من الإندرمولوجي والضغط السلبى العلاجى كان له تأثيرفى تقليل حجم الأطراف العلوية وتقليل نسبة الاعاقه، كما تبين أن الاندرمولوجى كان له أفضليه فى التأثير. |
