Summary, etc. A mixer-first front-end architecture is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless communication systems. The architecture incorporates a trans- impedance amplifier (TIA) with a capacitive positive feedback technique, enabling second-order filtering and enhancing the receiver’s (RX) resilience to spectral blockers. The RX is implemented using 22-nm FD-SOI technology and demon- strates excellent input matching in the 60-90 GHz frequency range. The RX achieves a conversion gain of 18 dB while maintaining a moderate noise figure. The RX exhibits a minimum in-band IIP3 of 4.5 dBm and an out-of-band (OOB) IIP3 of 42 dBm, indicating improved linearity performance.
