Summary, etc.	Non allergic rhinitis is defined by the symptoms of nasal congestion, <br/>rhinorrhea, postnasal drainage and sneezing. It has been associated with <br/>various pathologic changes, although it can occur in the absence of any <br/>inflammation. Therefore, the diagnosis is based on the clinical presentation. <br/>The best overall treatment is the evasion of the known trigger with medical <br/>treatment as an addition when all other options fail; surgical intervention <br/>becomes a feasible therapy. Acupuncture aroused as one of the most popular <br/>complementary and alternative treatments of rhinitis with high beneficial <br/>effects through clinical trials. It can be used to improve medical effectiveness <br/>and compliance. Laser acupuncture is considered as a painless and non-<br/>invasive modality of treatment with no risk of infection. The aim of this <br/>research is to assess the effectiveness of laser acupuncture in the treatment of <br/>non-allergic rhinitis and improving its symptoms. This study included 84 <br/>adult patients, 41 male and 43 female diagnosed as non-allergic rhinitis, they <br/>were been divided according to the management modality into Group I: 27 <br/>adults diagnosed as cases of non-allergic rhinitis and received laser <br/>acupuncture therapy in addition to medical treatment. Group II: 29 adults <br/>diagnosed as cases of nonallergic rhinitis received laser acupuncture therapy <br/>only. Group III: 28 adults diagnosed as cases of non-allergic rhinitis received <br/>medications only that act as a control group. According to our results, a <br/>significant reduction was noted in serum levels of Interleukin 6 (IL-6) in laser <br/>acupuncture groups after 16 weeks of treatment as compared to those who <br/>received medical treatment alone. It was found that total nasal symptoms <br/>scores (TNSS) decreased significantly in those being treated with laser <br/>acupuncture as compared to others receiving medical treatment alone. It was <br/>found that TNSS score and IL 6 were positively co-related. In conclusion, the <br/>application of laser acupuncture may be used as an alternative or adjunctive <br/>treatment for non-allergic rhinitis.

Summary, etc.	ظهر الوخز بالإبر كواحد من أشهر العلاجات التكميلية والبديلة لالتهاب الأنف وخاصة التهاب الأنف التحسسي وله تأثيرات مفيدة عالية من خلال التجارب الإكلينيكية. ويمكن استخدامه لتحسين الفعالية الطبية. على الرغم من أنه لم يكن هناك سوى عدد قليل جدًا من الدراسات المتعلقة بالتهاب الأنف غير التحسسي.<br/>الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تقييم مدى فعالية الوخز بالليزر في علاج التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي وتحسين أعراضه؛ كما تهدف إلى مقارنة تأثير الوخز بالليزر مقابل تأثير الأدوية على أعراض التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي وامتثال المرضى لطريقتي العلاج وأيضاً تقييم التأثير المضاد للالتهاب للوخز بالليزر من خلال قياس علامة الالتهاب في مصل الدم (الانترلوكين 6) ومقارنة مستوياتها مع مستويات المجموعة التي تتلقى الأدوية المعتادة.<br/>شملت هذه الدراسة 84 مريضًا بالغًا، 41 ذكرًا و43 أنثى تم تشخيص إصابتهم بالتهاب الأنف غير التحسسي ، وتم تقسيمهم وفقًا لطريقة العلاج إلى المجموعة الأولى: 27 شخصا بالغًا تم تشخيصهم على أنهم حالات التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي وتلقوا علاج الوخز بالليزر بالإضافة إلى العلاج الطبي. المجموعة الثانية: 29 شخصًا بالغًا تم تشخيصهم على أنهم حالات التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي تلقوا علاج الوخز بالليزر فقط. المجموعة الثالثة: 28 شخصًا بالغًا تم تشخيصهم على أنهم حالات التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي تلقوا أدوية فقط وتمثل المجموعة الضابطة.<br/>حسب الفئة العمرية في هذه الدراسة فقد تراوحت من 18 إلى 60 سنة بمتوسط عمر 33.2±8.7 مع عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعات الدراسة المختلفة. وفيما يتعلق بالجنس وعلاقته بالتهاب الأنف غير التحسسي، أظهرت الدراسة الحالية أن 51% من مرضى التهاب الأنف غير التحسسي هم من الإناث و 49% من الذكور، مع عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجاميع الثلاثة.<br/>في دراستنا اخترنا حالاتنا لتكون ضمن المعدل الطبيعي في كل من IgE والازينوفليا لاستبعاد التهاب الأنف التحسسي والتهاب الأنف غير التحسسي مع كثرة الازينوفل ولم يكن هناك فرق بين مجموعات الدراسة الثلاثة.<br/>فيما يتعلق بإنترلوكين-6، أظهرت دراستنا انخفاضًا ملحوظًا في مستويات إنترلوكين-6 فى مصل الدم في جميع المجموعات المدروسة بعد 16 أسبوعًا من العلاج، تلقت المجموعة الاولى علاجًا طبيًا مع الوخز بالليزر، وتلقت المجموعة الثانية الوخز بالليزر فقط وتلقت المجموعة الثالثة علاجًا طبيًا فقط، 0.05 و0.001و0.001P ˂ على التوالي مما يؤكد التأثير المضاد للالتهابات للوخز بالليزر.<br/>في الدراسة الحالية كانت درجة العطس واحتقان الأنف وانسداده من أبرز الأعراض. وقد وجد انه لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعات الثلاث المدروسة قبل العلاج. وعند مقارنة إجمالي درجات أعراض الأنف (TNSS) بين مجموعات الدراسة الثلاث، وجدنا تحسنًا في جميع القيم المتوسطة لدرجات أعراض الأنف مع تحسن كبير للغاية في TNSS في كل من المجموعة الاولى التي تتلقى العلاج الطبي باستخدام الوخز بالليزر والمجموعة الثانية التي تلقت الوخز بالليزر فقط (P < 0.001)، في حين أن التحسن البسيط في القيم المتوسطة لمجموع أعراض الأنف TNSS في المجموعة الثالثة التى تلقت العلاج الطبي فقط (P < 0.05).<br/>و لقد وجد ارتباطات إيجابية ذو دلالة احصائية بين متوسط TNSS وإنترلوكين-6.<br/>الخلاصة<br/>استنتاجاً من هذه الدراسة، يمكن استخدام الوخز بالليزر كعلاج بديل أو حتى كعلاج مساعد لالتهاب الأنف غير التحسسي.<br/>التوصيات:<br/>ينبغي إجراء المزيد من الدراسات بحجم عينة أكبر مع متابعة أطول للتأكد من فعالية الوخز بالليزر، وخاصة المريض غير المتوافق مع العلاج الطبي التقليدي الذي قد يؤدي إلى تحسن أفضل في الأعراض.<br/>ينبغي إدخال قياسات أخرى لقياس النتائج، مثل المؤشرات الحيوية الالتهابية أو دراسة الصور، في الدراسات المستقبلية لجعل الأدلة أكثر إقناعا.<br/>
