Summary, etc. Purpose. One common symptom of post coronavirus disease 2019 syndrome is
chronic fatigue syndrome. In the past, chronic fatigue syndrome was treated with
graded exercise therapy, high-intensity interval training, and cognitive behavioral
therapy; however, the effectiveness of these interventions varied among patients, and
no research examined their impact on those with post coronavirus disease 2019
syndrome. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out how well patients with
post coronavirus disease 2019 chronic fatigue syndrome responded to intensive
combined rehabilitation therapy. Materials and methods. A randomized controlled
study was conducted. Sixty females, ages 18 to 34, were randomized in to the control
and study groups. Following coronavirus disease 2019, Medication was given to both
groups. Additionally, the study group got combined rehabilitation exercise, graded
exercise therapy, high-intensity interval training, and cognitive behavioral therapy
with traditional rehabilitation therapy, whereas the control group only received
traditional rehabilitation therapy. The degree of fatigue measured by fatigue severity
scale, aerobic capacity measured by 6-minute walk test, grip work measured by hand
grip dynamometer, risk of falling measured by biodex balance system and quality of
life measured by WHOQOL-BREF were the outcome measures. Every measurement
was taken both at baseline and twelve weeks later. Results: After three months of
treatment, the study group showed statistically significant improvements in the fatigue
severity scale, the risk of falling, 6 minute walk test, and grip work (P <.05) and all
WHOQOL-BREF domains (p < 0.001).Conclusions: For the treatment of females
with post coronavirus disease 2019 chronic fatigue syndrome, combined rehabilitation
exercise, graded exercise therapy, high-intensity interval training, and cognitive
behavioral therapy was more helpful than post coronavirus disease 2019 medication
and traditional rehabilitation therapy. In females with post coronavirus disease 2019
syndrome, combined rehabilitation therapy significantly improved aerobic
capacity, grip work and quality of life and decreased the severity of fatigue and fall
risk.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
