| Summary, etc. | Background:Classical Hodgkin lymphoma is a uniquely aggressive lymphoma type that <br/>arises from germinal center B cells and is one of the most curable hematological <br/>malignancies, with a complete cure rate of approximately 90% especially in early stages. <br/>However, relapse remains an important cause of mortality. <br/>Aim of the study: This is a single Institutional study aimed to assess clinicopathological <br/>characteristics of patients with advanced stage classic Hodgkin lymphoma and their <br/>outcomes to ABVD treatment protocol. <br/>Patients and methods: We retrospectively reviewed 149 patients with stage III-IV cHL <br/>treated at the medical Oncology department at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, <br/>Egypt. The research period was from January 2015 to December 2019.All demographic, <br/>laboratory, pathological study data together with disease states were collected from the <br/>institutional patient’s files medical records. Statistical analyses for response to treatment, <br/>DFS, OS and toxicity. <br/>Results and Conclusion: We reviewed a total of 149 patients who were eligible to our <br/>study; their average age was 34.3 years. 59% of patients were men while 40.9% were <br/>women. Almost two thirds of the patients presented with B-symptoms (64.4%) at <br/>presentation and Nodular sclerosis was the most common histopathology type 82(55%), <br/>followed by mixed cellularity 31(20.8%) and others (24.2%). All patients received ABVD ( <br/>doxorubicin hydrochloride, bleomycins ulfate, vincristine and dacarbazine) 100% as front <br/>line therapy but only 16.1% received radiotherapy as consolidation. <br/>About 85.9% of patients achieved a complete response with ABVD which is associated with <br/>better 3year and 5year OS with a significant p value of less than 0.001 and with a median <br/>follow up of 50.1 (5.5-102.7) months, relapsed cases were 16.8% while deaths accounted <br/>21.5% and incidence of toxicity was 3.4% of all patients treated with ABVD.None of <br/>different features showed a statistical significant impact on DFS. |

| Summary, etc. | سرطان الغدد الليمفاوية هودجكين الكلاسيكي هو سرطان الغدد الليمفاوية العدواني الفريد الذي ينشأ من الخلايا البائية المركزية الجرثومية وهو أحد أكثر الأورام الدموية الخبيثة قابلية للعلاج، مع معدل شفاء كامل يبلغ حوالي 90٪. ومع ذلك، يبقى الانتكاس سببا هاما للوفيات.<br/>الهدف من الدراسة: هذه دراسة فردية وصغيرة تهدف إلى تقييم الخصائص الإكلينيكية المرضية ونتائج علاج ABVD لدى المرضى الذين يعانون من مرحلة متقدمة من ليمفوما هودجكين الكلاسيكية<br/>مرضى وطرق <br/>قمنا بمراجعة بأثر رجعي لـ 149 مريضًا يعانون من المرحلة الثالثة إلى الرابعة من مرض cHLالذين تم علاجهم في قسم الأورام الطبي في المعهد القومي للأورام، جامعة القاهرة، مصر، وكانت فترة البحث من يناير 2015 إلى ديسمبر 2019.تم جمع البيانات عن التركيبة السكانية والمختبرية والدراسات المرضية والحالات المرضية من السجلات الطبية لملفات المرضى المؤسسية. التحليلات الإحصائية للاستجابة للعلاج، DFS، OS والسمية.<br/>النتائج والاستنتاج<br/>قمنا بمراجعة ما مجموعه 149 مريضا مؤهلين لدراستنا؛ وكان متوسط العمر 34.3 سنة. وكان 49% من المرضى رجالاً مقابل 41% نساء. أكثر من ثلثي المرضى الذين ظهرت عليهم أعراض B (64.4٪) وكان التصلب العقدي هو الأنسجة الأكثر شيوعًا (55٪)، تليها الخلوية المختلطة (20.8٪) وغيرها (24.2٪). تلقى جميع المرضى ABVD (دوكسوروبيسين هيدروكلوريد، وكبريتات البليوميسين، والفينكريستين، والدكاربازين) بنسبة 100٪ كعلاج في الخطوط الأمامية ولكن 16.1٪ فقط تلقوا العلاج الإشعاعي كتوحيد ولم تظهر أي من الميزات المختلفة تأثيرًا إحصائيًا كبيرًا على DFS. حقق حوالي 85.9% من المرضى استجابة كاملة مع إعدادات الخط الأول التي ترتبط بنظام تشغيل أفضل لمدة 36 شهرًا و60 شهرًا مع قيمة p كبيرة أقل من 0.001 ومع متابعة متوسطة تبلغ 50.1 (5.5-102.7) شهرًا، وكانت حالات الانتكاس 16.8 % بينما بلغت نسبة الوفيات 21.5% وبلغت نسبة حدوث التسمم 3.4% من جميع المرضى الذين عولجوا بـ ABVD. <br/>الكلمات الرئيسية: المرحلة المتقدمة من cHL، مكتمل<br/>الاستجابة، DFS، نظام التشغيل والسمية<br/>الخصائص السريرية المرضية ونتائج علاج ABVD في المرضى الذين يعانون من المرحلة المتقدمة من ليمفوما هودجكين الكلاسيكية |
