Summary, etc.	Background: Workers in printing press are frequently exposed to various occupational health hazards, including physical, chemical, mechanical (ergonomic), biological, and psychological hazards while doing their jobs. These workers are also prone to workplace accidents and injuries. A hazardous working condition not only brings numerous health risks to the workers’ health but also minimizes the enterprise's productivity. Aim: to assess occupational health hazards among printing press workers in Egypt. Design: A descriptive, correlational study design was utilized. Sample: A purposive sample of 299 printing press workers were approached for the current study. Setting: the study was conducted at Dar Al-Hilal Press Foundation in Cairo, Egypt. Tools: Three tools were utilized to collect data: (a) Printing Press Workers Structured Questionnaire, (b) Printing Press Workers Occupational Health Risks Structured Questionnaire, and (c) Workplace Environmental Hazards' Observation Checklist. Results: Workers at the printing press were exposed to all types of occupational health hazards, as 46.3% were exposed to mechanical hazards, 44.6% to chemical hazards, 36.2% to psychological hazards, 35.6% to physical hazards, and 2.8% to biological hazards. There were highly statistically significant positive correlations between age, years of work experience, and total score of occupational health hazards (r=0.23, 0.29, p= 0.0001). Conclusion: Printing press workers were exposed to occupational health hazards in the three stages of the printing process; pre-press, press and post press. Recommendations: Conduct training programs on safety and health measures to increase knowledge and awareness of printing workers toward occupational health hazards and measures to avoid and deal with them. Further research is recommended on a wide scale in different governorates in Egypt to establish database about occupational health hazards pertinent to printing press occupation.

Summary, etc.	تتعامل الصحة المهنية مع جميع جوانب الصحة والسلامة في مكان العمل ولها تركيز قوي على الوقاية الأولية من المخاطر. تمثل مخاطر الصحة المهنية مشكلة صحية عامة رئيسية تؤدي إلى عواقب اجتماعية واقتصادية. تحدث الأمراض المهنية نتيجة لعوامل ميكانيكية, فيزيائية، كيميائية، نفسية وبيولوجية موجودة في بيئة العمل و التي تحدث أثناء العمل (منظمة الصحة العالمية لعام 2024(.<br/>تعتبر المطابع من أهم الأماكن التي يعمل بها مجموعة كبيرة من العمال و يشارك هؤلاء العمال في العديد من الأنشطة التي تعرضهم للعديد من المخاطر الميكانيكية والفيزيائية والكيميائية والنفسية والبيولوجية التي يمكن أن تمثل خطرا على صحتهم. هؤلاء العمال معرضون أيضا للحوادث و الإصابات في مكان العمل، والتي يمكن الوقاية من العديد منها. تلعب معدات الحماية الشخصية دورا مهما للغاية في صحة وسلامة العمال، وعند استخدامها في مكان العمل تقلل من التعرض لمجموعة متنوعة من المخاطر )مجلس السلامة والصحة المهنية لعام 2019(.<br/>الطباعة بأبسط أشكالها موجودة منذ آلاف السنين، على شكل خواتم وأختام ملكية ومثاقب يستخدمها صاغة الذهب والفضة. تنقسم كل عملية طباعة إلى ثلاث خطوات رئيسية: ما قبل الطباعة، و الطباعة، و ما بعد الطباعة. تشمل عمليات ما قبل الطباعة التركيب و التصوير الفوتوغرافي للفنون الرسومية و تجميع الصور و إعداد حامل الصورة. تتضمن الطباعة عملية الطباعة الفعلية. تتضمن مرحلة ما بعد الطباعة تجميع المواد المطبوعة و عمليات التجليد و التشطيب. يتعرض العاملون في المطابع لمخاطر كيميائية وميكانيكية أو أورجونومية و فيزيائية و نفسية و بيولوجية. تعتبر المخاطر الميكانيكية أو الاورجونومية من المخاطر التي يتعرض لها عمال الطباعة في شكل حوادث خطيرة و اضطرابات عضلية هيكلية. المخاطر الكيميائية خطيرة بسبب التعرض للكثير من المواد الكيميائية مثل المذيبات العضوية و الأحبار و المواد اللاصقة و الأصباغ العضوية و غير العضوية. و أهم المواد الكيميائية المستخدمة هي المركبات العضوية المتطايرة، و الأحبار. يحدث التعرض لهذه المواد الكيميائية من خلال الاستنشاق و الاتصال عن طريق الجلد. كما تعتبر الضوضاء من المخاطر الفيزيائية التي يتعرض لها عمال المطابع، فهي تحدث أثناء الطباعة و التجليد و الطي ( محمد & عبد السميع، 2023).
