Summary, etc. In this thesis we study some physical properties of Bose-Einstein condensates near the absolute zero in a one dimensional harmonic trap, in a two dimensional trap with cylindrical symmetry and in a three dimensional trap with spherical symmetry. We develop approximate expressions for the physical properties: the particle density, the chemical potential, the internal energy and the mean-square radius of the condensate using perturbation theory. This is achieved by using a perturbative solution of the Gross-Pitaevskii(GP) equation in the D-dimensional space RD with a general continuous non-negative external potential. The solution describes the condensate wave-function of a gas containing N Bose particles. We develop a criteria for the validity of the perturbative solution and then compare the results with the numerical solutions and show that if the number of particles in the condensate exceeds a certain value the perturbative solution breaks down. This determines the range of applicability of the mathematical expressions for the description of the physical properties of the condensate.<br/><br/>

Summary, etc. في هذه الأطروحة قمنا بدراسة بعض العوامل الفيزيائية لمكثفات بوز- آينشتاين بالقرب من الصفر المطلق في مصيدة توافقية: أحادية البعد، في مصيدة ثنائية الأبعاد ذات تماثل أسطواني وفي مصيدة ثلاثية الأبعاد ذات تماثل كروي. قمنا بتطوير تعبيرات رياضية تقريبية للعوامل الفيزيائية: كثافة الجسيمات، والجهد الكيميائي، والطاقة الداخلية، ومتوسط نصف قطر المكثفات باستخدام نظرية الاضطراب. يتم تحقيق ذلك باستخدام حل مضطرب لمعادلة جروس- بيتايفسكي (Gross-Pitaevskii) في الفراغ مع جهود عامة خارجية متصلة غير سلبية. الحل يصف الدالة الموجية لمكثف غاز يحتوي على N من جسيمات بوز. قمنا بوضع معيار صلاحية للحلول المضطربة ومن ثم مقارنة النتائج مع الحلول العددية وتبين أنه إذا زاد عدد الجزيئات في المكثف عن قيمة معينة فإن الحلول المضطربة تنهار وهذا يحدد مدى صلاحية التعبيرات الرياضية في وصف العوامل الفيزيائية للمكثفات.
