Summary, etc. With the rising emphasis on esthetics and the growing awareness of conservation, ceramic restorations have become increasingly used. This can be attributed to their exceptional esthetic and biocompatible properties. Lithium disilicate restorations gained popularity in the past decade due to their exceptional esthetic qualities.<br/>GC Initial Lisi ceramic is marketed with a notable feature known as HDM technology. This technology is claimed to simplify the milling process by allowing the material to be used in a fully crystallized phase.<br/>The selection of the finish line design is an important element that impacts the internal fit and marginal adaptation of fixed prosthesis. Different types of finish lines are proposed depending on the material being used.<br/>The aim of this study is to evaluate internal adaptation and marginal fit of posterior CAD/CAM crowns fabricated from either partially crystallized lithium disilicate or fully crystallized lithium disilicate with two finish line thicknesses (0.5mm chamfer and 1 mm round shoulder) before and after cementation. Twenty sound, extracted human first molar teeth, free of caries, cracks and fractures, were collected. The teeth were stored in saline solution for two months until use. The teeth were prepared by a dental surveyor. Teeth were divided according to glass ceramic into main groups; group (1) Lithium Disilicate (IPS e.max CAD), and group (2) Fully crystallized lithium disilicate (GC Initial LiSi) and group. Each group were further subdivided according to finish line thickness 0.5 mm chamfer and 1 mm round shoulder finish lines. The prepared teeth were scanned using lab scanner and teeth designing was performed using exocad. The crowns grinding was performed using 5-axis milling machine VHF S1. Crystallization is carried out for IPS e.max CAD only. After that, polishing was performed for both groups.<br/>110<br/>All samples were tested for internal fit by triple scanning technique and the marginal adaptation were measured by stereomicroscope. For the internal fit measurements, triple scan technique was used by using Geomagic control X 2022 1.0. where three scans were obtained using intraoral scanner Medit i500 and superimposition of these scans was done. The marginal gap was then evaluated using stereomicroscope before and after cementation by choosing five predetermined equally distributed points. The points were located at the midline, line angles, and a midpoint in between the midline and each line angle. The results for the present study showed that the finish line thicknesses (0.5 mm chamfer, 1 mm round shoulder) regardless the two ceramic types had no statistically significant effect on mean internal fit (P=0.954). Also, the ceramic types (IPS e.max CAD and GC Initial Lisi) had no statistically significant effect on mean internal fit (p=0.902). Regarding the marginal adaptation, IPS e.max CAD showed statistically significantly higher mean marginal gap distance than GC Initial LiSi regardless of the finish line thicknesses (p<0.001). Cementation regardless of the two ceramic types and the finish line thicknesses has a statistically significant effect on mean marginal gap distance (p<0.001).).
