Summary, etc. The current study aimed to develop the critical reading skill using Web-Quest for special diploma students at Faculty of Graduate Students for Education, Cairo University, Egypt .The sample consisted of thirty students of the special diploma of the faculty that were randomly selected. The study was conducted through the quasi- experimental design using Web-Quest strategy. The researcher used a list of critical reading sub-skills, a test for the critical reading skills, a scoring rubric for correcting the test, and an attitude scale towards the critical reading skills. The study indicated that there is a statistically significant difference between the mean score of the study group students in the pre-posttest in favour of the post test at significance level (0.01) which is < (0.05). The results proved the effectiveness of using Web-Quest in developing the critical reading skills for special diploma students at Faculty of Graduate Students for Education

Summary, etc. هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلي تنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة في اللغة الإنجليزية باستخدام الرحلات المعرفية (ويب كويست) لدى طلاب الدبلوم الخاصة بكلية الدراسات العليا للتربية، وقد تكونت العينة من (٣٠ ) ثلاثين طالبًا بالدبلوم الخاصة بكلية الدراسات العليا جامعة القاهرة، وقد درست مجموعة الدراسة ذات الثلاثين طالبًا باستخدام إستراتيجية الرحلات المعرفية (ويب كويست)، واستخدم الباحث قائمة مهارات القراءة الناقدة، ومقياس اتجاه للوقوف علي ما تعلمه الطلاب، ومقياس لتصحيح الاختبار، توصلت الدراسة الحالية إلي وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين متوسطي درجات المجموعة التجريبية في الاختبار القبلي والبعدي لصالح الاختبار البعدي، كما أثبتت النتائج فاعلية الرحلات المعرفية (ويب كويست) في تنمية مهارات القراءة الناقدة في اللغة الإنجليزية والاتجاه نحوها لدى طلاب الدبلوم الخاصة بكلية الدراسات العليا للتربية.
