| Summary, etc. | Two field experiments were conducted in 2018/2019, 2019/2020 winter seasons at Agric. Exp. Res. Sta., Fac. Agric., Cairo Univ., Giza, to study the performance of three faba bean cultivars (Sakha1, Giza716 and Giza 843) under three planting dates (1st October 20th October and 1st November). The results showed significant differences between sowing dates in all studied traits. Sowing faba bean on 20th October gave the highest values of total dry weight plant-1 at various growth stages, total leaf area plant-1, leaf area index, net assimilation rate (NAR), relative growth rate (RGR), plant height, number of pods plant-1, number of seeds plant-1, 100-seed weight, seed yield plant-1 and seed yield feddan-1. However, the sowing date 1st October gave the lowest values of plant height, number of pods plant-1, number of seeds plant-1, 100-seed weight, seed yield plant-1 and seed yield feddan-1 in both seasons. Seed protein content (%), carbohydrates (%) and stewing (%) were decreased by delayed sowing date from 1st Oct. to 1st Nov. in 2018/2019 season. However, total soluble solids (TSS%) was increased by delayed sowing date from 1st October to 1st November in 2018/2019 season.<br/>Faba bean cultivars had significant differences in most studied traits in both seasons. Giza 843 exceeded the other two cultivars (Sakha 1 and Giza 716) in growth attributes, growth analysis measurements and seed yield and its components. Faba bean cultivars greatly varied in seed protein content (%), stewing (%) and total soluble solids (TSS%) in 2018/2019. The greatest seed protein content was produced from Sakha 1 followed by Giza 843 compared with Giza 716 cultivar. However, Giza 843 cultivar gave the highest value of stewing compared with other two cultivars. Concerning TSS%, Giza 716 cultivar produced the greatest value (9.1%) compared with other two cultivars. It can be concluded that sowing Giza 843 cultivar on 20th October gave the greatest seed yield under conditions of Giza district. |

| Summary, etc. | أقيمت تجربتان حقليتان خلال موسمي 2018/2019 و2019/2020 في محطة التجارب والأبحاث الزراعية؛ كلية الزراعة – جامعة القاهرة – الجيزة. بهدف دراسة تأثير ثلاثة مواعيد زراعة (1 أكتوبر، 20 أكتوبر، 10نوفمبر) على نمو وإنتاجية وجودة بذور ثلاثة أصناف من الفول البلدي (جيزة 843، جيزة 716، سخا 1) وكان التصميم المستخدم هو تصميم القطع المنشقة مرة واحدة في ثلاث مكررات؛ وزعت مواعيد الزراعة على القطع الرئيسية وأصناف الفول على القطع المنشقة وكانت أهم النتائج المتحصل عليها ما يلي:<br/>كان تأثير مواعيد الزراعية معنويا على كل من الوزن الجاف الكلي للنبات(جم) ومساحة أوراق النبات(سم2) ودليل مساحة أوراق النبات عند جميع مراحل النمو خلال موسمي الدراسة؛ حيث أعطى ميعاد الزراعة (20 أكتوبر) أعلى القيم للوزن الجاف الكلي للنبات ومساحة أوراق النبات ودليل مساحة أوراق النبات عند جميع مراحل النمو خلال موسمي الدراسة؛ بينما أدى ميعاد الزراعة في 1 أكتوبر إلى الحصول على أقل القيم للصفات السابقة عند جميع مراحل النمو خلال موسمي الدراسة. وكذلك اثر ميعاد الزراعة معنويا على صفات تحليل النمو (معدل النمو النسبي و معدل الكفاءة التمثيلية) عند جيع فترات النمو خلال موسمي الزراعة؛ حيث تفوق ميعاد الزراعة (20أكتوبر) على باقي مواعيد الزراعة عند فترتي النمو 45-65 و 65-85 يوم من الزراعة خلال موسمي الدراسة كما تفوق ميعاد الزراعة 20 أكتوبر معنويا في صفات المحصول ومكوناته (طول النبات عند الحصاد، عدد الأفرع /النبات ،عدد القرون/النبات عدد البذور/النبات، وزن الــ 100 بذرة ، محصول البذور/النبات، محصول البذور (أردب /فدان)، المحصول البيولوجي (طن/فدان) ودليل الحصاد (%) خلال موسمي الدراسة؛ كما أعطي ميعاد الزراعة المبكر(1 أكتوبر) أعلى نسبة بروتين خلال موسم الزراعة 2018/2019 بينما أعطى ميعاد الزراعة 20 أكتوبر أعلى نسبة كربوهيدرات و نسبة طهى خلال موسم الزراعة 2018/2019؛ وكانت أعلى نسبة للمواد الصلبة الذائبة الكلية عند الزراعة المتأخرة ( 10 نوفمبر) خلال موسم 2018/2019.<br/> كانت الاختلافات بين أصناف الفول البلدي محل الدراسة معنوية في جميع الصفات المدروسة خلال موسمي الدراسة؛ حيث تفوق الصنف جيزة 843 على الصنفين جيزة 716 وسخا 1 في صفات الوزن الجاف الكلي للنبات ومساحة أوراق النبات ودليل مساحة أوراق النبات ومعدل النمو النسبي ومعدل الكفاءة التمثيلية عند جميع فترات النمو وصفات المحصول ومكوناته خلال موسمي الدراسة ونسبة الطهي خلال موسم 2018/2019؛ وتفوق الصنف سخا 1 في نسبة البروتين ونسبة الكربوهيدرات ونسبة المواد الصلبة الكلية الذائبة خلال موسم 2018/2019.<br/>وكان التفاعل بين مواعيد الزراعة وأصناف الفول معنويا في جميع الصفات المدروسة خلال موسمي الدراسة. |
