| Summary, etc. | Diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema (DME) are the most common <br/>causes of visual deterioration in diabetic patients. In contrast to idiopathic ERM, <br/>which often requires vitreoretinal surgery, treatment of DME complicated with <br/>ERM is not well understood. Intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial <br/>growth factor (anti-VEGF) agents is considered a first-line therapy for DME <br/>independent of ERM. <br/> In this study we compared the anatomical and functional outcomes of <br/>intravitreal Ranibizumab, intravitreal steroids and PPV for chronic persistent <br/>diabetic macular edema with non-tractional epiretinal membrane, with no <br/>improvement following repeated intravitreal anti-VEGFs. <br/> There was a statistically significant improvement in the visual outcome <br/>observed within the Anti-VEGF and intravitreal steroids groups and a statistically <br/>significant higher IOP in the intravitreal steroids and PPV groups. <br/> In all groups, CFT showed a significant reduction after 6 months, with a <br/>significant decrease in PPV group in comparison to the other groups. The vessels <br/>density shows a reduction in PPV group in comparison to the other groups. <br/>Injection of Anti-VEGF in chronic persistent diabetic macular edema with non-<br/>tractional epiretinal membrane is safe and associated with improvement of the visual <br/>outcome with limited affection of the IOP. |

| Summary, etc. | اعتالل الشبكية و ارتشاح الماقولة السكري من األسباب األكثر شيوعا للتدهور البصري لدى مرضى السكري. على النقيض من غشاء فوق الشبكية مجهول السبب ، والذي غالبا ما يتطلب جراحة الشبكية وازالة الجسم الزجاجي ، فإن عالج ارتشاح الماقولة السكري المزمن المستمر في وجود غشاء غير جار فوق الشبكية غير مفهوم جيدا. يعتبر الحقن داخل الجسم الزجاجي باستخدام عوامل نمو البطانة المضادة لألوعية الدموية عالجاﹰ من الخط األول الرتشاح الماقولة السكري.<br/>في هذه الدراسة ، قمنا بمقارنة النتائج التشريحية والوظيفية لحقن مادة الرانيبيزوماب داخل الجسم الزجاجي ، و حقن مادة الكورتيزون داخل الجسم الزجاجي و ازالة الجسم الزجاجي لعالج ارتشاح الماقولة السكري المزمن المستمر مع وجود غشاء غير جار فوق الشبكية ، مع عدم وجود تحسن بعد تكرار الحقن داخل <br/> الجسم الزجاجي .<br/>كان هناك تحسن ذو داللة إحصائية في النتيجة البصرية ، لوحظ ضمن مجموعة حقن عوامل نمو البطانة المضادة لألوعية الدموية و مجموعة حقن الكورتيزون كما لوحظ ارتفاع ضغط العين في مجموعات الكورتيزون و ازالة الجسم الزجاجي .<br/> في جميع المجموعات ، أظهر سمك النقرة المركزي انخفاضاﹰ ملحوظاﹰ بعد 6 أشهر ، و باالخص في مجموعة ازالة الجسم الزجاجي مقارنةﹰ بالمجموعات األخرى و أيضا تظهر كثافة األوعية انخفاضاﹰ في مجموعة ازالة الجسم الزجاجي مقارنةﹰ بالمجموعات األخرى .<br/>و بذالك أظهرت الدراسة أن حقن عوامل نمو البطانة المضادة لألوعية الدموية داخل الجسم الزجاجي في حاالت ارتشاح الماقولة السكري المزمن المستمر في وجود غشاء غير جار فوق الشبكية يعتبر آمن و مرتبط بتحسين النتيجة البصرية مع تأثير محدود على ضغط العين . |
