| Summary, etc. | The enormous impact of the construction industry on the three pillars of sustainability, necessities that specific and robust measures to be adopted as to lessen and/or eliminate this effect, especially on the environmental aspect. Accordingly, the decisive green practices that the contractor should follow, along with the associated scoring tool are provided through a research methodology formation and implementation of this study. The introduced methodology consists of four stages: 1) factors identification, 2) factors’ weights calculation, 3) Assessment benchmarks identification, and 4) scoring tool development. The factors are extracted from the conducted literature review with clear definition for each factor, after applying the required analysis to check the reliability, coherence and consistency of the collected data. Regarding the factors’ weights calculation, multi-criteria decision-making technique is applied by conducting pairwise comparison. Afterwards, the evaluation methodology for all the indicated practices are indicated, with setting clear benchmarks for the purpose of performance assessment. Then, all the processes and the relevant outputs are integrated to generate the environmental performance scoring tool. The use of the framework is illustrated through three case studies, where each case presents a unique project with the resulting overall score, to illustrate the application of the proposed research methodology. |

| Summary, etc. | صناعة التشييد لها تأثير كبير فى ركائز الاستدامة الأساسية البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية، بالأخص خلال مرحلة التنفيذ فى موقع العمل بالمشروع. بناءاً على ذلك، فمن المهم تقديم آليه تضمن الأداء المستدام أثناء مرحلة تنفيذ المشروع من خلال تبنى المقاولين للممارسات صديقة البيئة للتغلب على الآثار السلبية لأعمال التنفيذ. وفى هذا البحث ، تم تحديد العوامل الأكثر تأثيراً والتي تُمَكِن المقاول من الوصول لمتطلبات المشروع وتحقيق الأهداف البيئية المحددة. ويقدم هذا البحث منهجية تتكون من أربعة مراحل: 1) تحديد العوامل ، 2) حساب أوزان العوامل، 3) تحديد معايير التقييم، 4) إنشاء آلية القياس. وتم استخراج العوامل من خلال مراجعة الدراسات السابقة مع تعريف واضح لكل عامل، بعد إجراء الأختبارات الأحصائية للتأكد من مصداقية ومنطقية وتناسق المعلومات المجمعة. فيما يخص حساب أوزان العوامل، فتم ذلك عن طريق اتخاذ القرار متعدد المعايير بتطبيق المقارنة الثنائية. بعد ذلك، تم تعيين منهجية القياس لكل العوامل، مع وضع معايير واضحة لغرض تقييم الأداء. ثم تم إجراء تكامل لكل العمليات ومخرجاتها لإنشاء آلية قياس الأداء البيئى. تم توضيح الإطار المطبق من خلال دراسة ثلاث حالات، حيث تقدم كل حالة مشروع متفرد مع النتيجة الإجمالية، لتوضيح المنهجية المقدمة فى هذه البحث. |
