Summary, etc. This thesis examines the energetic and exergetic performance of a solar-driven desalination pilot system. The system consists of a multiple effect desalination with thermal vapor compression (MED-TVC) system with six effects, five feed water preheaters, and a parabolic trough collector (PTC) model. The study uses experimental weather data, to provide simulations over four seasons, and carry out parametric analysis to study the effects of adding a PTC module, increasing storage tank capacity, top brine temperature (TBT), or changing the receiver material. A numerical model was developed using MATLAB software and validated against literature data.<br/><br/>

Summary, etc. تدرس هذه الأطروحة الطاقه الحراريه و الفعالة لنظام لتحلية المياه يعمل بالطاقة الشمسية. يتكون النظام من نظام تحليه المياه الحراري متعدد المراحل و نظام الضغط الحراري للبخار و له ستة مراحل، و خمسة سخانات اوليه لمياه التغذية، و مجمع شمسي ذو القطع المكافئ. تستخدم الدراسة بيانات الطقس مقاسه من الموقع، لإجراء عمليات محاكاة على مدى ألاربعة مواسم، و إجراء تحليل باراميتري لدراسة تأثيرات إضافة وحدة إضافيه من المجمع الشمسي، أو زيادة سعة خزان التخزين، أو رفع درجة حرارة التشغيل القصوي لوحده تحليه المياه، أو تغيير مادة صنع المجمع الشمسي و مادة الطلاء الخاصه به. تم تطوير نموذج عددي باستخدام برنامج MATLAB وتم التحقق من صحته مقابل بالنتائج الموجودة في الاعمال البحثيه السابقه.
