| Summary, etc. | Background: Outpatient hysteroscopy is a clinical procedure that is used for several diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. However, the most common adverse event and reason for procedure failure is pain. Several strategies were developed to manage pain during outpatient hysteroscopy.<br/>Objectives: The aim of our study was to assess the degree of pain relief of hyoscine butylbromide (HBB) compared to celecoxib alone or in combination during the diagnostic hysteroscopy.<br/>Study Design: In our randomized double-blinded controlled study conducted between July 2022 and September 2024 at the outpatient hysteroscopy clinic of Kasr Al Ainy Hospital. 180 women aged 18-40 years underwent diagnostic office hysteroscopy were randomized into 3 groups, one of which received one oral placebo capsule and two oral tablets of HBB (Buscopan 10 mg). The 2nd group received two oral placebo tablets and one capsule of Celecoxib 200 mg. While the 3rd group received two oral tablets of HBB (Buscopan 10 mg) and one capsule of Celecoxib 200 mg simultaneously. <br/>Results: Our results showed statistically significant difference between groups regarding pain score at insertion of hysteroscope, during the procedure and 30 minutes following the procedure, that the combined HBB & Celecoxib is more effective than either of them alone in pain relief at insertion, during the procedure and 30 minutes following the procedure.<br/>Conclusion: Our study showed that combined use of HBB and celecoxib is more effective than either of them alone in pain relief at insertion, during the procedure and 30 minutes following the procedure |

| Summary, etc. | تنظير الرحم هو تدخل طفيف التوغل يمكن استخدامه لتشخيص وعلاج العديد من المشاكل داخل الرحم وعنق الرحم. ومع ذلك، ارتبط الألم الشديد والانزعاج بتنظير الرحم التشخيصي بدون تخدير.<br/>ينتمي سيليكوكسيب إلى مضادات الالتهاب غير الستيرويدية، والتي من المعروف أنها تقلل الألم عن طريق تثبيط إنتاج السيكلوأوكسجيناز 2 والبروستاجلاندين. الهيوسين هو دواء مسكن ومضاد للتشنج شائع يستخدم لتخفيف آلام المغص من الأحشاء الداخلية.<br/>هناك طرق مختلفة لتقييم شدة الألم ولكن مقياس التناظر البصري (VAS) هو الأداة المثلى لوصف شدة الألم بسبب بساطته وموثوقيته وصلاحيته، بالإضافة إلى خصائص مقياس النسبة. يتم تقديمه عادةً كخط أفقي بطول 10 سم حيث يتم تمثيل شدة ألم المريضة بنقطة بين أقصى درجات "عدم وجود ألم على الإطلاق" و"أسوأ ألم يمكن تخيله".<br/>هدف هذه الدراسة هو مقارنة فعالية الهيوسين مقابل سيليكوكسيب بمفرده أو بالاشتراك معه، فيما يتعلق بالسيطرة على الألم من خلال نظام VAS أثناء الإدخال وتصور تجويف الرحم وبعد 30 دقيقة من تنظير الرحم التشخيصي.<br/>تم تضمين مائة وثمانين امرأة تتراوح أعمارهن بين 18 و40 عامًا مرشحات لتنظير الرحم التشخيصي في هذه الدراسة:<br/>• المجموعة أ (60 مشاركة): تلقت كبسولة وهمية عن طريق الفم مماثلة في الحجم والبنية واللون لسيليكوكسيب واثنين من أقراص الهيوسين عن طريق الفم<br/>• المجموعة ب (60 مشاركة): تلقت قرصين وهميين عن طريق الفم مماثلين في الحجم واللون لقرص الهيوسين وكبسولة واحدة من السيليكوكسيب 200 مجم.<br/>• المجموعة ج (60 مشاركة): تلقت قرصين عن طريق الفم من الهيوسين وكبسولة واحدة من السيليكوكسيب 200 مجم في وقت واحد.<br/>أظهرت نتائجنا وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعات فيما يتعلق بدرجة الألم عند إدخال منظار الرحم، أثناء الإجراء وبعد 30 دقيقة من الإجراء، وأن العلاج المشترك بـ الهيوسين وسيليكوكسيب أكثر فعالية من أي منهما بمفرده في تخفيف الألم عند الإدخال، أثناء الإجراء وبعد 30 دقيقة من الإجراء.<br/>لم يكن هناك فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية بين المجموعات الثلاث فيما يتعلق بالعمر، ومؤشر كتلة الجسم، ومؤشر إجراء منظار الرحم، والنتائج غير الطبيعية ومدة إجراء منظار الرحم. |
