| Summary, etc. | Purpose: To compare the effect of perioperative nepafenac vs ketorolac tromethamine vs diclofenac sodium on intraoperative pupil size and postoperative intraocular pain, inflammation and macular edema in eyes of diabetic patients undergoing phacoemulsification.<br/>Methods: this is a randomized clinical trial carried out on 60 patients. They were divided into three groups, Group 1: consists of 20 patients who received epifenac eye drops, Group 2: consists of 20 patients who received ketorolin eye drops, Group 3: consists of 20 patients who received nevaxal eye drops.<br/>Primary outcome: Measurement of intraoperative pupil diameter through recording a video for each step of the operation.<br/>Secondary outcomes: Measurement of: the change in macular thickness using OCT, postoperative ocular pain assessment using ocular pain scale, postoperative inflammation through the determination of anterior chamber cells and flare grades based on SUN classification.<br/>Results: <br/>Ketorolac tromethamine was found to be more effective than diclofenac sodium and nepafenac in preventing the increase in macular thickness that may occur following phacoemulsification.<br/>There were no statistically significant differences between all three groups regarding the effect on intraoperative pupil size.<br/>There were no statistically significant differences between all three groups regarding the reduction of postoperative ocular pain and inflammation. |

| Summary, etc. | تعتبر المياه البيضاء أحد أهم أسباب القصور البصري والعمى القابل للعلاج على مستوى العالم ، ولا يمكن علاج المياه البيضاء إلا جراحيا. إن مرضى السكر أكثر عرضة من غيرهم للإصابة بالمياه البيضاء وقد يحتاجون لإجراء العملية في سن مبكرة.<br/>على الرغم من أن عملية استحلاب عدسة العين هي أهم عملية يتم عملها لإزالة المياه البيضاء ، إلا أن إجراء هذه العملية في مرضى السكر يمكن أن يؤدي إلى زيادة احتمالية التعرض إلى مضاعفات أثناء وبعد إجراء العملية مقارنة بالمرضى غير المصابين بالسكر.<br/>إن أدوية مضادات الالتهابات غير الستيرويدية تلعب دورا هاما في التعامل مع التحديات التي يمكن أن تحدث أثناء أو بعد عملية استحلاب عدسة العين في مرضى السكر والتي قد تشمل ضيق حدقة العين أثناء العملية ، وحدوث آلام أو التهابات أو ارتشاح بمركز الإبصار بعد العملية.<br/> تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى المقارنة بين العلاج الموضعي باستخدام ثلاثة أنواع مختلفة من أدوية مضادات الالتهابات غير الستيرويدية وهي النيبافيناك والكيتورولاك تروميثامين والديكلوفيناك صوديوم فيم يتعلق بتأثير هذه الأدوية على حجم حدقة العين أثناء العملية والآلام والالتهابات وارتشاح مركز الإبصار الذي يمكن أن يحدث بعد العملية.<br/>لكي نصل إلى الهدف المنشود من الدراسة تم تقسيم ستين مريضا مصابا بالسكر والمياه البيضاء إلى ثلاث مجموعات. اشتملت كل مجموعة على عشرين مريضا. المجموعة الأولى تم إعطاؤها قطرة ديكلوفيناك صوديوم ، والمجموعة الثانية تم إعطاؤها قطرة كيتورولاك تروميثامين ، أما المجموعة الثالثة فتم إعطاؤها قطرة نيبافيناك. تمت المقارنة بين الثلاث مجموعات من حيث قطر حدقة العين أثناء العملية ، وأيضا من حيث بعض المضاعفات التي يمكن أن تحدث بعد العملية مثل الآلام والالتهابات وارتشاحات مركز الإبصار. |
