Summary, etc. In the last decade, fingertip-sized flying vehicles have emerged. This thesis presents 2D flapping wings under gust conditions using the finite element method. The aerodynamics are simulated with a FORTRAN code based on incompressible Navier-Stokes equations, allowing free vertical and horizontal movement of the body. The equations of motion are coupled with fluid flow equations, and the body's position is tracked using a modified polygon technique. To maintain a divergence-free velocity field, new shape functions were developed. The goal is to enable the flapping body to resist gusts by generating balancing forces. The results show significant success.

Summary, etc. في العقد الأخير، ظهرت مركبات طائرة بحجم طرف الإصبع. تقدم هذه الأطروحة نموذجًا مبسطًا لأجنحة ترفرف ثنائية الأبعاد تحت تأثير الرياح العاصفة باستخدام طريقة العناصر المحدودة. يتم محاكاة الديناميكا الهوائية باستخدام كود FORTRAN مبني على معادلات نافير-ستوكس غير القابلة للانضغاط، مع حركة الجسم بحرية في الاتجاهين الرأسي والأفقي. تم دمج معادلات الحركة مع معادلات تدفق السوائل، وتُلتقط وضعية الجسم باستخدام تقنية المضلعات المعدلة. لضمان بقاء المجال السرعي خالٍ من التباعد، تم تطوير وتطبيق دوال شكل جديدة. الهدف هو تمكين الجسم المرفرف من مقاومة الهبات عبر إنتاج قوة موازنة. أظهرت النتائج درجة واضحة من النجاح
