| Summary, etc. | Purpose: The present study was conducted to investigate the therapeutic effect of High-frequency (High tone) Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) on the treatment of secondary lymphedema. Subjects and Methods: Study was from September 2022 to September<br/>2023, Sixty patients with lower limb secondary lymphedema of both sexes (34 men and 26 women) participated in this study and their age ranged from 35 to 65 years. They were divided randomly in to two equal groups (A and B). Group (A) received complete decongestive physical<br/>therapy (CDPT) for 30 minutes and High-frequency TENS for 30 minutes, while group (B) received CDPT only for 30 minutes. The variables included tape measurement and Lymphoedema Quality of Life Questionnaire (LYMQOL) were assessed before and after treatment program in patients with lower limb secondary lymphedema in both groups. Both groups received treatment program 3 sessions per week for<br/>8 weeks (p<0.05). Results: The obtained results revealed significant improvement of all measured variables in two groups after 8 successive weeks, also revealed statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment in favor of the group (A). Conclusion: High-<br/>frequency (High tone) TENS and CDPT were effective treatment modalities in patients with lower limb secondary lymphedema and High- frequency TENS with CDPT was more effective than CDPT alone in<br/>treating secondary lymphedema. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف: أجريت هذه الدراسة للتحقق من تأثير التنبيه العصبي الكهربائي عالي التردد عبر الجلد على الوذمة الليمفاوية الثانوية. الأشخاص وطرق البحث: اشترك في هذه الرسالة ستون مريضا يعانون من الوذمة الليمفاوية الثانية في الطرف السفلي (34 رجلا و 26 امرأة) تتراوح أعمارهم بين 35 – 65 عاما. هؤلاء المرضى تم تقسيمهم عشوائيا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد (المجموعة أ ، ب). المجموعة (أ) تلقوا العلاج الطبيعي الاحتقاني المعقد لمدة 30 دقيقة و التنبيه العصبي الكهربائي عالي التردد لمدة 30 دقيقة بينما المجموعة (ب) تلقوا فقط العلاج الطبيعي الاحتقاني المعقد لمدة 30 دقيقة التي تلقاها المجموعة (أ). المتغيرات تضمنت شريط قياس واستبيان جودة الحياة للوذمة اللمفية وتم تقييم النتائج قبل وبعد البرنامج العلاجي على مرضى الوذمة الليمفاوية في كلا المجموعتين. تلقت المجموعتان البرنامج العلاجي 3 جلسات اسبوعيا لمدة (8) أسابيع. النتائج: أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لجميع المتغيرات قبل و بعد العلاج للمجموعتين بعد 8 أسابيع متتالية، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في القيم المتوسطة اللاحقة لجميع المتغيرات بعد العلاج عند المقارنة بين المجموعتين لصالح المجموعة (أ). الإستنتاج: التنبيه العصبي الكهربائي عالي التردد و العلاج الطبيعي الاحتقاني المعقد لهم تأثير علاجي فعال لدى المرضى الذين يعانون من الوذمة الليمفاوية الثانية في الطرف السفلي و أن التنبيه العصبي الكهربائي عالي التردد مع العلاج الطبيعي الاحتقاني المعقد لهم تأثيرأفضل من العلاج الطبيعي الاحتقاني المعقد فقط في علاج الوذمة الليمفاوية الثانية. |
