Summary, etc. among multiple sclerosis (MS) patients. However, the effect of probiotics on this group of patients has not been investigated sufficiently.<br/>Methods: An analytic case-control study was conducted among 60 Multiple Sclerosis patients attending Kasr Al Ainy Multiple Sclerosis Unit from May 2024 to August 2024 to assess the role of Probiotics on fatigue, depression, quality of life, disability and inflammatory markers among them. Data were collected using a structured interview questionnaire including inquiry about the nutritional status using anthropometric measurements, Three-Day Food Diary Questionnaire and Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ. Disability and fatigue were assessed using the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) and Modified Fatigue Impact Scale, SF-36: Quality of Life ( 36-QOL ) and inflammatory markers Interleukin 6 (IL-6) and Interleukin 10 (IL-10) were also assessed. Nutrient data were analyzed using national food composition tables.<br/><br/>Results: The mean age of the Cases was 31.13 ± 8.10 years. The sickness duration went from 1 to 15 years (mean= 5.03 ± 4.53 years). The mean BMI was 26.33 ± 4.97, the mean EDSS score was 2.7 ± 1.21 and after 3 months of probiotics intake it became 2.07 ± 0.74 while the mean MFIS total score was 51.43 ± 13.12 and after 3 months of probiotics intake it showed a mean total score 40.43 ± 10.52, mean Total QOL score was 58.97 ± 12.37 and After 3 months of probiotics intake it became 75.27±9.92 , Mean Beck depression inventory at baseline is 19.77 ± 9.24 and after 3 months of probiotics intake it became 13.5 ± 5, the IL 6 mean is 30.34 ± 9.23 and after 3 months of probiotics intake it became 16.48 ± 2.44 the IL 10 mean is 232.59 ± 193.91 and after 3 months of probiotics intake it became 346.72 ± 65.92 . <br/>End: Insufficient Probiotics intake and unacceptable dietary admission were predominant among a lot of MS patients going to the Multiple Sclerosis Unit. Nourishment care administration is still required for this gathering of patient.<br/>Conclusion: Probiotics play very important role in MS patients, and insufficient Probiotics intake were prevalent among the MS patients attending the Multiple Sclerosis Unit. Nutrition care service is extremely needed for this group of patients.

Summary, etc. مرض التصلب المتعدد هو مرض مناعى يصيب الجهاز العصبي المركزي وهو أحد الأسباب الرئيسية للإعاقة لدى الشباب، كما أن له تأثير اجتماعي عميق. و هناك أشكال مختلفة من أمراض سوء التغذية قد تكون سائدة بين مرضى التصلب المتعدد.<br/>و الهدف العام من الدراسة الحالية هو تحسين الحالة الغذائية لمرضى التصلب المتعدد و ذلك عن طريق تناول الاغذية المدعمة بالروبيوتيك.<br/>وتمثلت أهداف هذه الدراسة في تقييم تأثير تناول البروبيوتيك لعينة من مرضى التصلب العصبي المتعدد من خلال قياسات طول و وزن المرضى و حساب مؤشر كتلة الجسم لهم والتقييم السريري والتقييم الغذائي والنشاط البدني والنفسى ، وحساب انتشار الاجهاد والعجز و الاكتئاب و دلالات الالتهاب و جودة الحياة في هؤلاء المرضى مثل العوامل الاجتماعية والديموغرافية، وعوامل المرض / المضاعفات (كالاجهاد و العجز و الاكتئاب و دلالات الالتهاب و جودة الحياة) .<br/>منهجية الدراسة :<br/> مكان الدراسة: أجريت الدراسة بوحدة أبحاث و علاج التصلب المتعدد ، كلية طب قصر العيني، جامعة القاهرة.<br/>وتقوم افتراضية الدراسة عل تأثير البروبيوتيك على مرضى التصلب المتعدد.<br/>وينتمى تصميم الدراسة إلى الدراسات التحليلية المعتمدة على الملاحظة بين مجموعتى الحالات و التحكم.
