| Summary, etc. | Purposes: To investigate the effect of interactive virtual reality training on muscle strength and motor proficiency in children with hemiparesis. Methods: Thirty children of both sexes with hemiparesis included in this study, aged 8 to 10 years. They were randomly assigned into control and study groups. Both groups received a specially designed physical rehabilitation program. Additionally, the study group participated in Wii Fit virtual reality-based program. Hip and knee extensors' strength were measured using a Lafayette hand-held dynamometer. Bilateral coordination, strength, running speed, and agility were evaluated using the Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, (BOT-2) 2nd edition before and after the treatment program. Results: Children in both groups showed significant improvements in their post-treatment results across all measured outcomes compared to their pre-treatment results. When comparing the post-treatment mean values between the groups, the study group exhibited significantly greater improvement than the control group ((P<0.05). Conclusion: Adding interactive virtual reality training to the designed physical therapy program provide a significant effect on muscle strength and motor proficiency in children with hemiparesis. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف: تقييم تأثير التدريب التفاعلي من خلال الواقع الافتراضى على القوة العضلية والكفاءة الحركية لدى الأطفال المصابين بالخدل الشقي. طرق البحث: شملت هذه الدراسة ثلاثين طفلا من كلا الجنسين مصابين بالخدل الشقي ، وتتراوح أعمارهم بين 8 إلى 10 سنوات. تم توزيعهم بصورة عشوائية على مجموعتين (المجموعة الضابطة , مجموعة الدراسة) تلقت كلتا المجموعتين برنامج مصمم خصيصا للعلاج الطبيعي. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تلقت مجموعة الدراسة برنامج الواقع الافتراضي Wii Fit. تم تقييم الكفاءة الحركية وتشمل التنسيق الثنائي والقوة وسرعة الجري وخفة الحركة باستخدام اختبار Bruininks-Oseretsky للكفاءة الحركية (2-BOT) ، كما تم قياس قوة العضلات الباسطة لمفصل الفخد ومفصل الركبة قبل وبعد برنامج العلاج باستخدام جهاز قياس القوة المحمول باليد (Laffayate) النتائج: أظهرت نتائج الأطفال في كلتا المجموعتين تحسن ملحوظ في نتائج ما بعد العلاج في جميع المتغيرات المقاسة مقارنة بنتائج ما قبل العلاج , وتم ملاحظة فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في جميع المتغيرات المقاسة بين المجموعتين بعد العلاج لصالح مجموعة الدراسة الاستنتاج: إضافة التدريب التفاعلي من خلال الواقع الافتراضى إلى برنامج العلاج الطبيعي المصمم له تأثير كبير على الكفاءة الحركية والقوة العضلية لدى الأطفال المصابين بالخدل الشقي. |
