| Summary, etc. | Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is the standard treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. TURP and is considered to be the second most surgical procedure among males above 65 years. The transurethral resection of the prostate syndrome (TURP-S) is a potentially life-threatening complication of the TURP surgery, due to excessive absorption of the irrigation fluid with the development of volume overload and dilutional hyponatremia.<br/>Timely diagnosis of TURP-S is of vital importance for rapid detection and optimized treatment. To the best of our knowledge, no previous studies investigated the use of LUS using B-lines as a bed-side, simple, and non-invasive indicator for the presence of systemic volume overload in patients undergoing endoscopic TURP. <br/>Therefore, the aim of this cohort observational study is designed to investigate the use of LUS using B-lines as a bed-side, simple, and non-invasive indicator for predication of the presence of systemic volume overload in patients undergoing endoscopic TURP under spinal anesthesia.<br/>An approval from Research Ethics Committee of Faculty of Medicine Cairo University hospitals was obtained and an informed written consent was obtained from patients.<br/>We included male patients with age ≥ 60 years undergoing TURP surgery, with ASA score I, II, and III and full conscious patients. <br/>Demographic data, Intraoperative data including Hemodynamic parameters and LUS and caval/aortic index were collected. After intervention, each patient underwent post-operative management and Assessment. |

| Summary, etc. | استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول بالمنظار هو العلاج القياسي لتضخم البروستاتا الحميد. ويعتبر استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول ثاني أكثر الإجراءات الجراحية شيوعًا بين الذكور فوق سن 65 عامًا.متلازمة ما بعد استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول بالمنظار هو أحد المضاعفات المهددة للحياة المحتملة لجراحة استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول، بسبب الامتصاص المفرط لسائل الغسيل مع تطور زيادة الحجم ونقص صوديوم الدم المخفف.<br/>يعد التشخيص في الوقت المناسب لمتلازمة استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول أمرًا بالغ الأهمية للكشف السريع والعلاج الأمثل. على حد علمنا، لم تبحث أي دراسات سابقة في استخدام مؤشرالرئه بالسونار باستخدام خطوط ب كمؤشر بسيط وغير جراحي بجانب السرير لوجود زيادة في الحجم الجهازي لدى المرضى الذين يخضعون لاستئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول بالمنظار.<br/>لذلك، تم تصميم هدف دراسة المراقبة الجماعية هذه للتحقيق في استخدام مؤشرالرئه بالسونار باستخدام خطوط ب كمؤشر بسيط وغير جراحي بجانب السرير للتنبؤ بوجود زيادة في حجم الجسم لدى المرضى الذين يخضعون لجراحة استئصال البروستاتا عبر مجرى البول بالمنظار تحت تأثير التخدير النصفي.<br/>تم الحصول على موافقة من لجنة أخلاقيات البحث في مستشفيات كلية الطب بجامعة القاهرة وتم الحصول على موافقة كتابية مستنيرة من المرضى.<br/>لقد قمنا بتضمين مرضى ذكور تبلغ أعمارهم ≥ 60 عامًا يخضعون لجراحة استئصال البروستاتا بالمنظار عبر مجرى البول، مع مرضى تخضع الي تقييم 1و2و3 لتقييم الجمعيه الامريكيه للتخدير ومرضى في وعي كامل.<br/>تم جمع البيانات الديموغرافية والبيانات أثناء الجراحة بما في ذلك معايير الديناميكية الدموية ومؤشرالرئه بالسونار ومؤشر الأبهر/الأجوف. بعد التدخل، خضع كل مريض لإدارة وتقييم ما بعد الجراحة.<br/>اعتبر المريض مصابًا باستئصال البروستاتا عبر الإحليل عند ظهور أكثر من أحد الأعراض أو العلامات التالية (الدوخة، الصداع، الغثيان، القيء، التثاؤب، أي اضطراب بصري، خفقان أو قلق) أو ارتفاع تدريجي أو مفاجئ في ضغط الدم (عادةً بين 20 و60 ملم زئبق) مصحوبًا ببطء القلب (10-25 نبضة/دقيقة) حتى في غياب أي علامة أو أعراض أخرى. |
