Summary, etc.	Background. Forward head posture (FHP) is common in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMDs); however, its relationship with pressure pain threshold (PPT) and muscle endurance of masticatory and neck muscles in heavy smartphone users required additional research.<br/>Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between i) FHP and PPT of masticatory and neck extensor muscles and ii) FHP and muscle endurance of masticatory and neck extensor muscles in addicted smartphone users with and without myogenic TMDs. Methods. 46 subjects including females and males were divided into 2 groups, Group A: 23 subjects with myogenic TMDs and Group B: 23 subjects without myogenic TMDs based on the presence of trigger points in masticatory and neck muscles depending on the myofascial diagnostic criteria. Smartphone use was measured by smartphone addiction scale short version (SAS-SV). FHP was assessed by the craniovertebral angle (CVA) and PPT for trigger points of the aforementioned muscles were evaluated using a pressure algometer and muscle endurance was evaluated by bite endurance and craniocervical extension tests (CEET). Results. No correlation between FHP and PPT of masticatory and neck extensor muscles was found in both groups. In addition, no correlation was observed between FHP and bite and neck endurance in both groups. Conclusion. In the population of heavy smartphone users, no relationships were observed in patients with and without myogenic TMDs between FHP and PPT and masticatory and neck muscle endurance. Therefore, a longitudinal study to assess these variables and their correlation along specific times with variable posture of mobile phone use in the future may be recommended.

Summary, etc.	الخلفية:وضع الرأس الأمامي (FHP) شائع لدى المرضى الذين يعانون من اضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي (TMDs) ؛ ومع ذلك، فإن علاقته مع شدة الألم بالضغط (PPT) وتحمل العضلات لعضلات المضغ والرقبة لدى مستخدمي الهواتف الذكية بشكل مكثف تتطلب المزيد من البحث.الهدف:<br/>الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو التحقيق في العلاقة بين i) وضع الرأس الأمامي (FHP) و شدة الألم بالضغط (PPT) لعضلات المضغ والرقبة الباسطة و ii) وضع الرأس الأمامي (FHP) وقوة تحمل عضلات المضغ والرقبة الباسطة لدى مستخدمي الهواتف الذكية المدمنين مع وبدون اضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي العضلية.الطرق: تم تقسيم 46 مشاركًا، بما في ذلك الإناث والذكور، إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة 23 A مشاركًا مع اضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي العضلية والمجموعة 23 B مشاركًا بدون اضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي العضلية بناءً على وجود نقاط تحفيز في عضلات المضغ والرقبة وفقًا لمعايير التشخيص العضلي اللفافي وعلى استخدامهم للهاتف الذكي الذي تم قياسه بواسطة مقياس إدمان الهواتف الذكية النسخة القصيرة .(SAS-SV) تم تقييم وضع الرأس الأمامي بواسطة زاوية الرأس العنقية (CVA)، وتم تقييم شده الألم بالضغط لنقاط التحفيز في العضلات المذكورة باستخدام جهاز قياس الضغط (الألجوميتر)، وتم تقييم تحمل العضلات بواسطة اختبار تحمل العضلات في العضلات الفموية واختبار التحمل لتمديد عضلة العنق والجمجمة (CEET) .النتائج: لم يتم العثور على علاقة بين وضع الرأس الأمامي (FHP) وشده الألم بالضغط (PPT) لعضلات المضغ والرقبة الباسطة في كلا المجموعتين. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، لم يتم ملاحظة أي علاقة بين وضع الرأس الأمامي وتحمل العضلات في كل من الفك والرقبة في كلا المجموعتين. الخلاصه: في مجموعه مستخدمي الهواتف الذكية بشكل مكثف، لم تُلاحظ علاقات بين وضع الرأس الأمامي وشده الألم بالضغط وتحمل عضلات المضغ والرقبة في المرضى الذين يعانون من اضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي العضلية وغير العضلية. لذلك، قد يكون من المستحسن إجراء دراسة طولية لتقييم هذه المتغيرات وعلاقتها على مدار فترات زمنية محددة مع وضعية استخدام الهاتف المحمول المتغيرة في المستقبل.
