Summary, etc. Chilled water systems commonly experience low ΔT syndrome, where the actual <br/>temperature difference between supply and return chilled water is lower than the <br/>designed value. An extensive literature review was conducted to analyze the causes, <br/>effects, and mitigation strategies for this issue, as well as to survey various research <br/>approaches addressing this point. <br/>In our study, a chilled water system in a real-world building—an underground <br/>Cairo metro station—was modeled using TRNSYS 18. The system's performance was <br/>analyzed under two configurations, one equipped with a buffer tank and another <br/>without. A detailed comparison between the two configurations was conducted, <br/>evaluating temperature differences, water flow rates, chiller plant and pumping energy <br/>consumption. The analysis focused on both energy savings and the effectiveness of <br/>mitigating low ΔT syndrome under identical cooling loads for both cases.

Summary, etc. تعاني أنظمة المياه المبردة بشكل شائع من متلازمة انخفاض فرق درجات الحرارة، حيث يكون الفرق الفعلي في درجات الحرارة بين المياه المبردة الموردة والعائدة أقل من القيمة المصممة. وقد أجريت مراجعة موسعة للأدبيات لتحليل الأسباب والآثار واستراتيجيات التخفيف لهذه المشكلة، فضلاً عن مسح شامل لمناهج البحث التي تعالج هذه النقطة.<br/>في دراستنا، تم نمذجة نظام مياه مبردة في مبنى حقيقي لمحطة مترو أنفاق القاهرة باستخدام TRNSYS 18. تم تحليل أداء نظامين، أحدهما مزود بالخزان المتعادل والآخر بدونه. تم إجراء مقارنة مفصلة بين النظامين، وتقييم الاختلافات في درجات الحرارة ومعدلات تدفق المياه واستهلاك الطاقة لمحطة التبريد و المضخات. ركز التحليل على كل من توفير الطاقة وفعالية التخفيف من متلازمة انخفاض فرق درجات الحرارة تحت أحمال تبريد متطابقة لكلا النظامين.
