Summary, etc. Glass-Fiber-Reinforced-Polymer (GFRP) grating has found widespread use <br/>in several industry sectors due to its durability, lightweightness, accessibility to <br/>installation, and low maintenance requirements. Its bidirectional fiber strength <br/>provides exceptional corrosion resistance, high strength, and extended service life <br/>compared to other types of fibers. This research aims to present a proposal for a <br/>new reinforcing system using GFRP gratings to improve the punching shear <br/>resistance of RC flat slabs. Seven specimens were investigated under vertical static <br/>loading are presented, taking into account the influence of the gratings variables <br/>such as (1) the effect of using the gratings; (2) the thickness of the gratings; (3) the <br/>location of the gratings through the slab thickness; (4) the number of gratings <br/>through the slab thickness; and (5) the dimensions of the gratings, whereas the <br/>concrete characteristic strength, steel yield strength, slab thickness, column <br/>dimensions, slab dimensions, and steel reinforcement ratio were kept constant. The <br/>test results were recorded, including cracks width, slab deflection, concrete strains, <br/>steel strains, GFRP gratings strains, crack and failure loads, and monitoring cracks <br/>patterns and failure modes. <br/>Experimental results revealed improvement in the failure load ranging <br/>between 9.03% to 27.67% for the specimens reinforced by the proposed GFRP <br/>gratings system, depending on its properties. Non-Linear Finite Element Analysis <br/>(NLFEA) was carried out using ANSYS program with correlational evaluation <br/>using load-deflection response and cracks pattern, which resulted in good <br/>convergence of numerical simulations and experimental performance results <br/>ranging from 1.0% to 8.0%. Key parameters, namely the concrete compressive <br/>strength, steel reinforcement yield strength, main steel reinforcement ratio, <br/>secondary steel reinforcement ratio, column dimensions, slab thickness, concrete <br/>cover, and GFRP gratings characteristics, were investigated through a parametric <br/>study adopting (NLFEA), where the output results were compared to the available <br/>code provisions.

Summary, etc. تتناول الرسالة دراسة تأثير إضافة مصبعات الالياف الزجاجية البوليمرية لتحسين مقاومة القص الثاقب للبلاطات الخرسانية المسلحة المسطحة عند اتصالها بالأعمدة الخرسانية. لدراسة ذلك تم تجهيز وإختبار سبعة عينات من البلاطات الخرسانية تحت تحميل رأسي لامركزي, كذلك تم مقارنة النتائج المعملية بالنتائج النظرية باستخدام العناصر المحددة (برنامج التحليل الإنشائي “ANSYS 15” ) وقد أظهرت النتائج مدي التطابق بين النتائج المعملية والنظرية وأن التحليل باستخدام البرنامج “ANSYS 15” يعطي نتائج قريبة جدا من النتائج المعملية. وتشمل المتغيرات التي تمت دراستها معمليا في هذة الرسالة الآتي: (1) تاثير وجود المصبعات (2) سمك المصبعات (3) مكان المصبعات خلال سمك البلاطة (4) عدد المصبعات المستخدمة خلال سمك البلاطة (5) ابعاد شبكة المصبعات.<br/>كما تم استخدام برنامج (“ANSYS 15”) في عمل دراسة بارامترية نظرية لدراسة العديد من العوامل المؤثرة علي تصرف البلاطات الخرسانية المسطحة المعززة بمصبعات الالياف الزجاجية البوليمرية عند اتصالها بالأعمدة الخرسانية لتحسين مقاومة القص الثاقب تحت تأثير أحمال رأسية لامركزية. ومن هذه العوامل : (1) مقاومة الخرسانة في الضغط (2) إجهاد خضوع حديد التسليح (3) أبعاد مقطع العمود (4) سمك البلاطة الخرسانية (5) نسبة التسليح الرئيسي للبلاطة (6) نسبة التسليح الثانوي للبلاطة (7) سمك الغطاء الخرساني (8) أبعاد المصبعات (9) سمك المصبعات (10) مكان المصبعات خلال سمك البلاطة (11) عدد المصبعات داخل سمك البلاطة . و قد تم مقارنة النتائج المعملية والنظرية بالإضافة إلى نتائج الدراسة البارامترية بأحمال الإنهيار المتوقعة باستخدام الأكواد العالمية.
