| Summary, etc. | تركز هذه الدراسة علي إجراء دراسات تجريبية على مواد وطرق معالجة مظاهر التلف الناتجة عن هيجروسكوبية جلود الكتب الأثرية لتقييم كفاءة بعض المواد الجديدة والتي يمكن استخدامها في علاج وصيانة الجلود الآثرية الجافة والرطبة . ولقد تم إجراء العديد من الاختبارات المختلفة من أجل اختيار أفضل هذه المواد لاستخدامها في الدراسة التطبيقية. واتضح بعد قياس الخواص الميكانيكية ( قوة الشد – نسبة الإستطالة ) وقياس التغير اللوني وقياس درجة الحموضة والتحليل الطيفي بالأشعة تحت الحمراء للمواد المختلفة المستخدمة في هذه الدراسة التجريبية أن خليط البولي إثيلين جليكول مع زيت الأرجان يعتبر اكثر فاعلية في تطرية عينات الجلد . كما تهدف الدراسة أيضاً إلي تقييم حالة جلدة مخطوط تاريخي من مكتبة الأزهر الشريف باستخدام طرق الفحص والتحليل المختلفة للتعرف علي مظاهر التلف التي تعاني منها تمهيداً لترميمها. |

| Summary, etc. | This study focuses on experimental studies on materials and methods used for the treatment of deterioration aspects resulted from the hygroscopicity of archaeological bookbinding. Various tests have been conducted to choose the best of these materials in order to be used in the applied study. The results of mechanical properties (Tensile Strength- Elongation) , Color change for different materials used in the experimental study, measurement of PH value and ATR-FTIR analysis revealed that the composite that consists of (Polyethyleneglycol 5% + Argan Oil 5%) is more effective in the treatment of leather samples. This study also aims to evaluate state of the historical leather cover of the manuscript by using different investigation and analysis methods in order to identify the deterioration aspects of these object and to present the appropriate conservation plan for this studied object. |
