| Summary, etc. | Forty patients (20 males and 20 females) with severe burns. Total Body Surface Area (TBSA) varied from 20 to 35% were comprised in the study. They aged between 20 and 35. They were gathered from the hospitals of Cairo University and divided randomly into two equal groups: Group (A) comprised 20 patients who received aerobic exercises and medical treatment (iron supplements, multivitamins, zinc, and folic acid). Group (B) comprised 20 patients who had only received medical treatment. Before therapy, after six and after ten weeks of therapy, a Complete Blood Count (CBC) test was done to compare both groups in terms of Red Blood Cells (RBCs), Hemoglobin (Hgb), and Hematocrit (Hct). Results: Both groups showed statistical improvement in RBCs, Hgb, and Hct levels after 6 weeks and after 10 weeks of therapy (P=0.001); however, there was a statistically significant difference in favor of group A (P=0.001), there was a statistical significant increase of RBCs by 30% after 10 weeks than pre-treatment, there was a statistical significant increase of Hgb by 14% after 10 weeks than pre-treatment, there was a statistical significant increase of Hct by 27.5% after 10 weeks than pre-treatment. Conclusion: Aerobic exercises have a positive adjunctive effect on persistent post burn anemia. |

| Summary, etc. | تم اختيار أربعين مريضًا، تعرضوا لحروق شديدة، حيث تراوحت نسبة مساحة سطح الجسم المحترقة لديهم بين 20% و35%، وكانت أعمارهم تتراوح بين 20 و35 عامًا في الفترة ما بين الأسبوع الثامن والأسبوع السادس عشر بعد الحروق، وذلك من مستشفى القصر العيني، جامعة القاهرة. تم تقسيمهم عشوائيًا إلى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد (20 مريضًا في كل مجموعة). المجموعة (أ): تلقت التمارين الهوائية والعلاج الطبي، بمعدل 3 جلسات أسبوعيًا لمدة 10 أسابيع. بينما المجموعة (ب(: تلقت العلاج الطبي لمدة 10 أسابيع. تم استخدام اختبار تعداد الدم الكامل لتقييم مستوى الهيموغلوبين وعدد كرات الدم الحمراء والنسبة المئوية للهيماتوكريت. أظهرت المقارنة بين المجموعة أ والمجموعة ب بعد العلاج زيادة كبيرة في مستوى الهيموغلوبين، وعدد كرات الدم الحمراء، ونسبة الهيماتوكريت في المجموعة أ مقارنة بالمجموعة ب يمكن الاستنتاج أن التمارين الهوائية هي وسيلة فعالة وآمنة يمكن استخدامها لتحسين فقر الدم المستمر بعد الحروق |
