Objectives: To investigate the effect of PUBG game addiction on upper <br/>trapezius muscle activity, hand grip strength and pinch grip strength in <br/>adolescents. <br/>Design: Cross sectional study. <br/>Setting: International schools and clubs of 10th Ramadan city,Cairo, Egypt. <br/>Participants: Sixty adolescents, 10 – 19 years old were assigned into two <br/>equal groups; group (A) (non addicted group ) group (B) (addicted group). <br/>Main Outcome Measures: Upper trapezius (UT) Root mean square <br/>(RMS), Electromyography (EMG) turns, hand grip strength and pinch grip <br/>strength. Data obtained also from the addicted group regarding UT RMS <br/>and EMG turns before starting PUBG, after 15 minutes, and after 30 <br/>minutes of playing. <br/>Results: Significant differences were observed in all measured outcomes, <br/>favoring the addicted group (Group B) (P < 0.001). From baseline to 15 <br/>minutes of gameplay, significant reductions were recorded in Upper <br/>trapezius Root mean square (MD = -7.87, 95% CI: -9.16 to -6.57, P < <br/>0.001) and Electromyography turns (MD = -1.43, 95% CI: -1.81 to -1.05, <br/>P < 0.001). Similarly, from baseline to 30 minutes of gameplay, Upper <br/>trapezius Root mean square (MD = -16.6, 95% CI: -18.68 to -14.52, P < <br/>0.001) and Electromyography turns (MD = -3.33, 95% CI: -3.8 to -2.87, P <br/>< 0.001) showed further significant reductions. <br/>Conclusion: PUBG game addiction significantly affects physical health in <br/>adolescents. Specifically, it leads to increased activity in the upper <br/>trapezius muscle and decreased hand grip and pinch grip strength when <br/>comparing addicted adolescents to non-addicted adolescents one. These <br/>findings suggest that excessive gaming could negatively impact muscle <br/>activity and physical function in this age group. The sustained muscle <br/>activity could result in muscle imbalance and discomfort over time. <br/>Additionally, the decrease in hand grip and pinch grip strength indicates <br/>impaired physical function and reduced muscle endurance |

الهدف: للتحقق من تأثير إدمان لعبة ببجي على نشاط العضلة شبه المنحرفة العلوية، قوة قبضة اليد وقوة قبضة الضغط لدى المراهقين. <br/>التصميم:دراسة مقطعية.<br/>الإطار: المدارس والأندية الدولية بمدينة العاشر من رمضان، القاهرة، مصر.<br/>المشاركون: ستونمراهقا،تتراوح أعمارهم بين 10- 19 عاما تم تقسيمهم الى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد ;المجموعة (أ) (المجموعة غير المدمنة) لم تلعب لعبةببجيبينما المجموعة (ب) (المجموعة المدمنة) لعبت لعبةببجي.<br/>مقاييس النتائج:متوسط الجذر التربيعي للجزء العلوي من العضلة شبه المنحرفةومنعطفات التخطيط الكهربي للعضلات، قوة قبضة اليد وقوة قبضة الضغط. تم الحصول على البيانات أيضًا من المجموعة (أ(فيما يتعلق بمتوسط الجذرالتربيعي للجزء العلوي من العضلة شبه المنحرفة و منعطفات التخطيط الكهربي للعضلات قبل بدء اللعبة وبعد 15 دقيقة وبعد 30 دقيقة من اللعبة.<br/>النتائج: وجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في جميع المقاييس المتعلقة بالجذر التربيعي لمتوسط نشاط العضلة شبه المنحرف العلوية ، وعدد الإشارات الكهربائية، وقوة قبضة اليد، وقوة القبضة الدقيقة (P<0.001) في المجموعة (B) (مجموعة المدمنين).من خط الأساس إلى 15 دقيقة من لعب PUBG:تم العثور على فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في UT RMS حيث كان متوسط الفرق (MD) (95% CI) -7.87 (-9.16, -6.57) مع p<0.001، وفي EMG Turns حيث كان متوسط الفرق (MD) (95% CI) -1.43 (-1.81, -1.05) مع p<0.001.من خط الأساس إلى 30 دقيقة من لعب PUBG:تم العثور على فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في UT RMS حيث كان متوسط الفرق (MD) (95% CI) -16.6 (-18.68, -14.52) مع p<0.001، وفي EMG Turns حيث كان متوسط الفرق (MD) (95% CI) -3.33 (-3.8, -2.87) مع p<0.001<br/>الاستنتاج: إدمان لعبة PUBG يؤثر بشكل كبير على الصحة البدنية لدى المراهقين، حيث يؤدي إلى زيادة نشاط العضلة شبه المنحرف العلوية وانخفاض قوة قبضة اليد وقوة القبضة الدقيقة عند مقارنة المراهقين المدمنين بغير المدمنين. تشير هذه النتائج إلى أن الإفراط في ممارسة الألعاب قد يؤثر سلبًا على النشاط العضلي والوظائف البدنية في هذه الفئة العمرية.. |
