| Summary, etc. | Purpose:This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of aloe vera <br/>gel phonophoresis on the healing of venous ulcers. <br/>Subjects:Sixty male and female patients with chronic leg venous ulcers <br/>participated in this study. Their ages ranged from 45 to 60 years. They <br/>were randomly assigned into two groups: <br/>Group A (Study Group): 30 patients received transdermal delivery of aloe <br/>vera (phonophoresis) using low-intensity ultrasound, in addition to <br/>regular medical care. <br/>Group B (Control Group): 30 patients received topical aloe vera <br/>application after therapeutic ultrasound, along with regular medical care. <br/>Both groups were evaluated before treatment, and after 4 and 8 weeks <br/>from the beginning of the intervention. Evaluation was performed using <br/>the Imito Wound mobile application to measure ulcer surface area, and <br/>normal saline to assess ulcer volume. <br/>Results:Post-treatment comparison between the two groups showed a <br/>slight clinical improvement in favor of Group A. However, there was no <br/>statistically significant difference between the groups in wound surface <br/>area (p = 0.799) or wound volume (p = 0.894) after treatment (p > 0.05). <br/>Conclusion:Aloe vera phonophoresis (transdermal delivery of aloe vera) <br/>appears to be a safe, non-invasive, and beneficial modality for the <br/>treatment of lower limb venous ulcers. It can be considered as an adjunct <br/>to standard treatment protocols for managing these debilitating <br/>conditions. |

| Summary, etc. | شارك في هذه الدراسة ستون مريضًا من الذكور والإناث يعانون من قرحة وريدية مزمنة في الأطراف السفلية. تراوحت أعمارهم بين 45 و60 عامًا، وتم توزيعهم عشوائيًا إلى: المجموعة (أ)، 30 مريضًا تلقوا حقن الصبار عبر الجلد (العلاج بالهرمون الصوتي) باستخدام الموجات فوق الصوتية منخفضة الكثافة بالإضافة إلى الرعاية الطبية المنتظمة، والمجموعة (ب)، 30 مريضًا تلقوا الصبار الموضعي بعد تلقي الموجات فوق الصوتية العلاجية بالإضافة إلى الرعاية الطبية المنتظمة. تم تقييم كلتا المجموعتين قبل العلاج، وبعد 4 و8 أسابيع من بداية العلاج باستخدام (تطبيق Imito للجروح على الهاتف المحمول) لقياس مساحة سطح القرحة والمحلول الملحي الطبيعي لقياس حجم القرحة. النتائج:بالمقارنة بين المجموعتين بعد العلاج، لوحظت زيادة سريرية طفيفة، ولكن لم يكن هناك فرق ذو دلالة إحصائية (P > 0.05) في مساحة سطح الجرح (0.799) وحجم الجرح (0.894). وكانت هناك زيادة سريرية لصالح المجموعة (أ) (مجموعة الدراسة).الخلاصة . يُعد توصيل جيل الصبار عبر الجلد عن طريق الموجات فوق الصوتية منخفضة الكثافة طريقة آمنة وغير جراحية ومفيدة في علاج قرحة الأوردة في الأطراف السفلية، ويمكن إضافته إلى بروتوكولات العلاج لهذه الحالات المُنهكة. |
