| Summary, etc. | Background: Pediatric burns can have long-term physical, psychological, economic, and social implications for patients and their families. Burn rehabilitation is an essential part of treatment of pediatric burn. Aim: To systematically review and summarize the evidence on the effectiveness of virtual reality (VR) in pediatric burns rehabilitation. Methods: An electronic search on databases of PubMed, Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro), Cochrane library, and science direct databases, was performed to find the published RCTs on the effect of different types of VR on pediatric burns, from 2000 to 2024. Data was extracted from the included studies and methodological quality was assessed using PEDro scale. Meta-analysis was not applicable and data was qualitatively analyzed. Results: Seven studies met the inclusion criteria with a mean PEDro score of 7. Strong evidence was found to support the effectiveness of VR for improving pain, ROM, grip strength and hand function, while moderate evidence for quality of life. Conclusion: The present evidence supports that VR could be an effective intervention in improving pain, ROM, grip strength, hand function and quality of life for children post-burn. More high-quality research with larger samples sizes is still needed to confirm and update the current evidence. |

| Summary, etc. | الخلفية: قد تُسبب حروق الأطفال آثارًا جسدية ونفسية واقتصادية واجتماعية طويلة المدى على المرضى وأسرهم. يُعدّ إعادة تأهيل مصابي الحروق جزءًا أساسيًا من علاجهم. الهدف: مراجعة وتلخيص الأدلة المتعلقة بفعالية الواقع الافتراضي في إعادة تأهيل مصابي الحروق. الطريقة: أُجري بحث إلكتروني في قواعد بيانات PubMed، وقاعدة بيانات أدلة العلاج الطبيعي (PEDro)، ومكتبة كوكرين، وقواعد بيانات Science Direct، للعثور على التجارب العشوائية المُحكمة المنشورة حول تأثير أنواع مختلفة من العلاج الطبيعي على حروق الأطفال، من عام 2000 إلى عام 2024. استُخلصت البيانات من الدراسات المشمولة، وقُيِّمت جودة المنهجية باستخدام مقياس PEDro. لم يكن التحليل التلوي قابلاً للتطبيق، وحُللت البيانات نوعيًا. النتائج: استوفت سبع دراسات معايير الإدراج بمتوسط درجة PEDro بلغ 7. وُجدت أدلة قوية تدعم فعالية العلاج الطبيعي في تحسين الألم، ونطاق الحركة، وقوة القبضة، ووظيفة اليد، بينما وُجدت أدلة متوسطة على جودة الحياة. الخلاصة: تدعم الأدلة الحالية أن الواقع الافتراضي يمكن أن يكون تدخلاً فعالاً في تحسين الألم، ونطاق الحركة، وقوة القبضة، ووظيفة اليد، وجودة الحياة للأطفال بعد الحروق. لا تزال هناك حاجة إلى مزيد من الأبحاث عالية الجودة مع عينات أكبر لتأكيد وتحديث الأدلة الحالية. |
