Summary, etc. Strengthening of slabs is essential in various practical applications to enhance the load capacity <br/>and overall structural performance. In this thesis, strengthening using exterior reinforced concrete <br/>jacket and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) was experimentally investigated. Effect of <br/>changing reinforcement mesh in the RC jacket and the number of CFRP layers was investigated. <br/>The crack patterns, midspan deflections, and steel strains were recorded during testing for the ten <br/>specimens. Effect of the strengthening techniques on load capacity, ductility, initial stiffness, and <br/>cost was evaluated. Increase in load capacity for strengthened specimens ranges from 20.6% to <br/>85.5%, while the initial stiffness improved from 75.2% to 135.6%. However, the ductility of the <br/>strengthened slabs were relatively decreased. Numerical models were developed using ABAQUS <br/>software and validated with experimental results. Afterwards, intensive parametric study was <br/>performed on different parameters for both strengthening techniques .

Summary, etc. تدعيم البلاطات الخرسانية ضروري في مختلف التطبيقات العملية لتحسين قدرة التحمل و السلوك العام للمنشآت. في هذه الرسالة، تم التحقيق تجريبياً في تقنيات التدعيم باستخدام شبكة من الخرسانة المسلحة الخارجية (القميص) والبوليمر المقوى بالألياف الكربونية. (CFRP) تم دراسة تأثير تغيير شبكة التسليح في القميص الخرساني وعدد طبقات الCFRP علي السلوك الانحنائي للبلاطة. تم تسجيل أنماط الشروخ، والإزاحات في منتصف البحر، والانفعالات في أسياخ الحديد خلال الاختبار المعملي لعشرة عينات. تم تقييم تأثير تقنيات التدعيم على قدرة التحمل، والمرونة، والصلابة الأولية، والتكلفة. أظهرت النتائج أن التدعيم باستخدام القميص الخرساني وشرائح CFRP حسّن من قدرة التحمل من 20.6% الي 85.5% والصلابة الأولية من 75.2% الي 135.6% بينما قلل من المرونة للبلاطات الخرسانية. أخيرًا، تم إنشاء نماذج العناصر المحدودة بإستخدام برنامج ABAQUS . تم التحقق من صحتها بالمقارنة مع النتائج المعملية و تم عمل الدراسة البارامترية باستخدام مجموعة من المتغيرات لأنظمة التدعيم المختلفة.
