| Summary, etc. | Cancer is one of the most life threatings, that drives the seeking of an anticancer agent. Patients’ responses to anticancer drugs are dramatically variable, that makes the researchers continuously searching for the development of other treatment strategies and drugs for the enhancement of quality of life of the patient. Our study is focused on the investigation of the anticancer effect of new chalcone derivatives and repurposed drugs in 2D screening against A-431, CACO-2, HT-29, HCT116, HOS, MCF-7, PC3 cancer cell lines. Chalcone derivative 15 and M46 drug were identified to be the most active compound and drug, therefore, they were tested against 3D MCF-7 spheroid cell culture. RT-qPCR analysis for apoptotic genes (p53, BAX, and BCL-2 genes) was then conducted and was followed by the identification of cell cycle arrest phase for both the chalcone derivative and the drug. |

| Summary, etc. | يعد السرطان من أكثر الأمراض التي تهدد الحياة، مما يدفع إلى البحث عن عامل مضاد للسرطان. تتباين استجابات المرضى للأدوية المضادة للسرطان بشكل كبير، مما يجعل الباحثين يبحثون بشكل مستمر عن تطوير استراتيجيات علاجية وأدوية أخرى لتحسين نوعية حياة المريض. يهدف البحث إلى دراسة التأثير المضاد للسرطان لمشتقات الشالكونات الجديدة والأدوية المعاد استخدامها في الفحص ثنائي الأبعاد ضد الخلايا السرطانيه A-431، CACO-2، HT-29، HCT116، HOS، MCF-7، PC3. <br/>تم تحديد مشتق الشالكونات 15 وعقار الستربتوكين على أنهما الأكثر نشاطًا، لذلك تم اختبارهما ضد الخلايا الكروية ثلاثية الأبعاد لسرطان الثدي MCF-7. تم بعد ذلك إجراء تحليل RT-qPCR لتقييم جينات موت الخلايا المبرمج (جينات BCL-2 وBAX وp53) متبوعًا بتحديد مرحلة توقف دورة الخلية لكل من مشتق الشالكونات 15 ودواء الستربتوكين. |
