| Summary, etc. | The relationship between the exchange rate and inflation is of vital importance, especially in emerging economies where movements in the exchange rate can significantly affect the inflation rate. This dissertation studies the impact of exchange rate movements on inflation rate while controlling for the influence of financial sector structure and trade orientation, in addition to changes in international oil prices; these variables that have not received attention in related literature.<br/> The thesis is based on the descriptive and quantitative methods using a Panel data set obtained from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund for 19 emerging economies covering an updated data set. To estimate the model specifications using Ordinary least squares estimation, fixed effect, and random effect estimation methods. The sample of countries are emerging market economies in different levels of development, but they are all facing inflation, economic crises, and movements in the exchange rate. |

| Summary, etc. | تحظى العلاقة بين سعر الصرف والتضخم بأهمية حيوية ، خاصة في الاقتصادات الناشئة حيث يمكن أن تؤثر تحركات سعر الصرف بشكل كبير على معدل التضخم. تدرس هذه الاطروحة تأثير تحركات أسعار الصرف على معدل التضخم مع التحكم في تأثير هيكل القطاع المالي و التوجه التجاري ، بالاضافة الى التغيرات في أسعار النفط العالمية؛ هذه المتغيرات التي لم تحظى بالاهتمام الكافي في الادبيات ذات الصلة.<br/>تعتمد الاطروحة على الأساليب الوصفية و الكمية باستخدام مجموعة بيانات الفريق التي تم الحصول عليها من البنك الدولي وصندوق النقد الدولي لـ 19 اقتصادًا ناشئًا تغطي مجموعة بيانات محدثة . لتقدير مواصفات النموذج تم استخدام طرق تقدير المربعات الصغرى العادية والتأثير الثابت وتقدير التأثير العشوائي. عينة الدول تشمل اقتصادات اسواق ناشئة ذات مستويات مختلفة من التنمية ،ولكنها جميعها تواجه التضخم والأزمات الاقتصادية و تحركات سعر الصرف. |
