| Summary, etc. | Background: Cesarean section (CS) is one of the most common abdominal surgeries that are done for females in middle age. The post-surgical adhesion that developed during the healing of the wound results in many complications that can affect musculoskeletal, urinary and gastrointestinal systems. This adhesion could cause symptoms far away from the affected part. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of abdominal myofascial release of CS scar, respiratory diaphragm and iliopsoas muscles on the scar mobility and neck outcomes in terms of pain, range of motion (ROM), pressure pain threshold (PPT) of neck muscles and functional abilities of neck. Material and methods: Thirty parous females aged from 20-40 years old who delivered CS one or more times with chronic nonspecific neck pain (CNSNP) were included in this study. The mobility of the CS scar was determined by using the adheremeter. Regarding the neck: the numerical rating scale (NRS), bubble inclinometer, pressure algometer and neck disability index were used to measure pain, ROM, PPT and functional abilities respectively before and after the treatment program. A Paired t test was run for comparison between pre, and post treatment mean values of all measured variables with the alpha level 0.05. Results: There was significant difference between pre and post treatment program for scar mobility, pain, ROM, PPT and NDI (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The abdominal myofascial release of CS scar, respiratory diaphragm and iliopsoas muscles is beneficial in cases of chronic nonspecific neck pain that may be added to the traditional treatment program. |

| Summary, etc. | المقدمة: تعتبر الولادة القيصرية واحدة من أكثر العمليات الجراحية شيوعًا التي تُجرى للنساء في منتصف العمر. يؤدي الالتصاق ما بعد الجراحة الذي يتطور أثناء التئام الجرح إلى العديد من المضاعفات التي يمكن أن تؤثر على الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي والمسالك البولية والجهاز الهضمي. يمكن أن يسبب هذا الالتصاق أعراضًا بعيدة عن الجزء المصاب.<br/>الهدف: كان الغرض من الدراسة هو التحقيق في تأثيرات الإفراج الليفي العضلي البطني لندبة الولادة القيصرية، والحجاب الحاجز التنفسي، وعضلات القطنية الحرقفية على حركة الندبة، والألم، ومدى الحركة (ROM)، ودرجة الالم الناتج عن الضغط (PPT) لعضلات الرقبة، والقدرات الوظيفية للرقبة.<br/>المرضي وطرق التقييم: تم اجراء هذه الدراسة على ثلاثين سيدة تتراوح أعمارهن بين العشرين والاربعين عامًا، خضعن لعملية ولادة قيصرية واحدة أو أكثر، يعانين من ألم رقبة مزمن غير محدد السبب. تم تحديد حركة ندبة الولادة القيصرية باستخدام جهاز قياس الالتصاق. فيما يتعلق بالرقبة: تم استخدام مقياس التقييم العددي (NRS)، ومقياس الميل، ومقياس شدة ألم الضغط، ومؤشر إعاقة الرقبة وذلك لقياس الألم، ومدى الحركة، قوة تحمٌل ألم الضغط، والقدرات الوظيفية على التوالي قبل وبعد برنامج العلاج. تم إجراء اختبار t المقترن للمقارنة بين متوسطات القيم قبل وبعد العلاج لحركة أنسجة الندبة، ومقياس التقييم العددي، ومدى حركة الرقبة، قوة تحمٌل ألم الضغط، ومؤشر إعاقة الرقبة مع مستوى ألفا (0.05).<br/>النتائج: أوضحت النتائج ان هناك فرق كبير بين برنامج ما قبل وما بعد العلاج لحركة الندبة، والألم، ومدى الحركة، قوة تحمٌل ألم الضغط، ومؤشر إعاقة الرقبة.<br/>الخلاصة: التفكيك الليفي العضلي البطني لندبة الولادة القيصرية، والحجاب الحاجز التنفسي، وعضلات القطنية الحرقفية مفيد في حالات ألم الرقبة المزمن غير المحدد، ويمكن إضافته إلى برنامج العلاج التقليدي. |
