| Summary, etc. | Objective: This research assessed the impact of spencer muscle energy technique on stiff shoulder in diabetic patients.<br/>Patient and Methods:30women with diabetic frozen shoulder, Aged from 45-55 years old they were recruited from Agouza police hospital outpatient clinics.The patients randomly assigned into two equal groups: group (A) received spencer muscle energy technique along with conventional treatment, while group (B) received conventional treatment only.Primary outcomes included assessment of pain using numeric pain rating scale (NPRS) and pain pressure threshold (PPT).Secondary outcomes included measurement of range of motion(ROM)(flexion-abduction-external rotation) using universal goniometer and evaluation of functional disability using shoulder pain and disability index (SPADI).<br/>Results:The pre- and post-study comparison showed noticeable results and statistically significant differences in both groups,and the percentage of improvement in group A in all measured variables were NPRS,PPT, shoulder flexion, abduction, external rotation, SPADI were 78.72% , 92.72% , 48.7% , 44.69% , 53% , 56.66% respectively.While the percentage of improvement in all measured variables in group B were 49.63%, 51.39%, 21%, 18.1%, 22.06 %, 39.13 % respectively. Group A (Spencer's MET along with conventional treatment) had a statistically significant over group B (conventional treatment only) in all measured post treatment parameters.Conclusion: The Spencer MET along with conventional treatment is more effective decreasing pain and increasing functional ability in patients with stiff shoulder as compared to conventional treatment alone. |

| Summary, etc. | الهدف من هذه الدراسة:تقييم تأثير تقنية الطاقة العضلية "سبينسر" على الألم في تيبس الكتف لمرضي السكري<br/>المرضى وطرق البحث: 30 إمرأه مصابة بتيبس الكتف المرتبط بداء السكري،تتراوح أعمارهم بين 45و55 عاما تم اختيارهن من العيادات الخارجية بمستشفى الشرطة بالعجوزة. تم تقسيمهم عشوائيًا بالتساوي إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة (أ) تلقَّت تقنية الطاقة العضلية" سبينسر" مع العلاج التقليدي، بينما تلقَّت المجموعة (ب) العلاج التقليدي فقط. تضمنت النتائج الأولية تقييم الألم باستخدام مقياس تصنيف الألم الرقمي (NPRS) وعتبة ضغط الألم (PPT).تضمنت النتائج الثانوية قياس نطاق الحركة (ROM) (الثني-الابعاد-الدوران الخارجي) باستخدام مقياس الزوايا الشامل وتقييم القيود الوظيفية باستخدام مؤشر ألم الكتف والعجز (SPADI).<br/>النتائج:أظهرت مقارنة ما قبل وما بعد الدراسة نتائج ملحوظة واختلافات ذات دلالة إحصائية في كلا المجموعتين، وكانت نسبة التحسن في المجموعه أ في جميع التغيرات المقاسه هي NPRS،PPT، والمدى الحركي لثني الكتف، الابعاد، الدوران الخارجي، SPADI 78.72%، 92.72%، 48.7%، 44.69%، 53%، 56.66% على التوالي. بينما كانت نسبة التحسن في جميع المتغيرات المقاسة في المجموعة ب كانت NPRS و PPT والمدى الحركي لثني الكتف والابعاد والدوران الخارجي ، SPADI 49.63%، 51.39%، 21%، 18.1%، 22.06%، 39.13% على التوالي. المجموعةأ(علاج سبينسر مع العلاج التقليدي) كانت لها دلالة إحصائية أكبر من المجموعةب(العلاج التقليدي فقط) في جميع المعايير التي تم قياسها بعد العلاج.<br/>الخلاصة: فى السيدات المصابات بالكتف المتيبس نتيجة مرض السكرى ، كانت تقنية سبنسر للطاقة العضلية، عند دمجها مع العلاج التقليدي، أكثر فاعلية في تقليل الألم وتحسين القدرة الوظيفية لدى مرضى تيبس الكتف مقارنةً بالعلاج التقليدي وحده. |
