Summary, etc.	Background: Diacutaneous Fibrolysis (DF) is an instrumentally assisted <br/>manual therapy technique for normalizing the musculoskeletal system. It also <br/>helps in maintaining the releasing pressure in certain small areas like between <br/>orofacial muscles. It has shown improvements in dysfunctional-painful <br/>disorders like carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder impingement, lateral <br/>epicondylalgia, patellofemoral pain and Temporomandibular joint disorders. <br/>Purpose of the study: To investigate the effect of Diacutaneous Fibrolysis on <br/>temporomandibular joint pain and trismus post Oral and maxillofacial surgery. <br/>Subjects and Methods: Sixty patients (male and female) with <br/>temporomandibular joint pain and trismus post Oral and maxillofacial surgery <br/>with ages ranged from 18-40 years participated in this study. They were selected <br/>randomly from the Faculty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Cairo University <br/>and Kasr Al aini Hospital and randomly divided equally into two groups. Group <br/>A (study group) was was given Diacutaneus Fibrolysis in addition to traditional <br/>physiotherapy program which included transcutaneous Electrical Nerve <br/>Stimulation, range of motion exersice and massage, 3 times a week for four <br/>weeks, while Group B (the control group) was given the traditional <br/>physiotherapy program only , 3 times a week for four weeks. Assessment of <br/>Pain was done at baseline and following 4 weeks by Visual analogue scale <br/>(VAS) and Pressure pain threshold (PPT) algometer , Vernier caliper was used <br/>to assess Maximal interincisal opening at baseline and following 4 weeks. <br/>Results: Group A study group showed significantly greater improvements in <br/>VAS, PPT, maximal mouth opening in comparison with Group B control group <br/>(p < 0.001). Conclusions: Diacutaneous Fibrolysis effectively reduces pain and <br/>trismus following oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Summary, etc.	الخلفية: تعد أداة التحلل الليفي دياكوتانيوس تقنية علاج يدوي بمساعدة أداة لتطبيع الجهاز العضلي الهيكلي. كما أنها تساعد في الحفاظ على الضغط المحرر في مناطق صغيرة معينة مثل العضلات بين الوجه والفم. وقد أظهرت تحسنات في الاضطرابات المؤلمة غير الوظيفية مثل متلازمة النفق الرسغي، واصطدام الكتف، وألم اللقيمة الجانبية، وآلام الرضفة الفخذية واضطرابات مفصل الفك الصدغي<br/> الغرض من الدراسة: تأثير التحلل الليفي دياكوتانيوس على آلام مفصل الفك الصدغي و إنطباق الفكين بعد جراحة الوجه والفكين.<br/>المواد والطرق: شارك في هذه الدراسة ستون مريضًا (ذكور وإناث) يعانون من آلام مفصل الفك الصدغي و إنطباق الفكين بعد جراحة الوجه والفكين. تتراوح أعمارهم بين 18 و 40 عامًا. تم اختيارهم عشوائيًا من كلية جراحة الفم والوجه والفكين بجامعة القاهرة ومستشفى قصر العيني وتم تقسيمهم عشوائيًا بالتساوي إلى مجموعتين. تم إعطاء المجموعة أ (مجموعة الدراسة) التحلل الليفي دياكوتانيوس بالإضافة إلى برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي الذي تضمن تحفيز الأعصاب الكهربائي عبر الجلد وتمارين نطاق الحركة والتدليك، 3 مرات في الأسبوع لمدة أربعة أسابيع، بينما تم إعطاء المجموعة ب (مجموعة التحكم) برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التقليدي فقط، 3 مرات في الأسبوع لمدة أربعة أسابيع. تم إجراء تقييم الألم في البداية وبعد 4 أسابيع باستخدام مقياس التناظر البصري ومقياس عتبة الألم بالضغط ، وتم استخدام الفرجار الفيرني لتقييم أقصى فتحة بين القاطعين في البداية وبعد 4 أسابيع.<br/>النتائج: أظهرت مجموعة الدراسة (أ) تحسنًا ملحوظًا في قياسات الرؤية المرئية (عتبة ألم الضغط وأقصى فتحة للفم مقارنةً بمجموعة الضبط (ب) (قيمة الاحتمال < 0.001). الاستنتاج: يحسن التحلل الليفي دياكوتانيوس آلام مفصل الفك الصدغى وإنطباق الفكين بعد جراحة الوجه والفكين
