Summary, etc. Background: Venous ulcers are chronic skin lesions resulting from prolonged venous hypertension. When standard conservative treatments fail, alternative approaches are needed. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of ultrasound-enhanced hyaluronic acid delivery (phonophoresis) in promoting venous ulcer healing. Subjects: Sixty-four patients with venous ulcers participated in this randomized clinical trial. Patients were randomly assigned into two equal groups. Group A received a combination of topical hyaluronic acid gel applied concurrently with ultrasound therapy (phonophoresis), while Group B received ultrasound therapy followed by the topical application of hyaluronic acid gel. Measurements: Wound surface area, rate of epithelization, and time-based rate of healing were assessed before and after four weeks of treatment. Results: There was a significant difference in the percentage reduction in surface area between Group A and Group B, with reductions of 51.15% and 31.02%, respectively (p = 0.001). Additionally, the mean ± SD time-based healing rate was 0.89 ± 0.41 cm²/week in Group A and 0.58 ± 0.27 cm²/week in Group B. Conclusion: The study concluded that the ultrasound-enhanced hyaluronic acid (phonophoresis) is effective in promoting venous ulcer healing.

Summary, etc. يهدف هذا البحث الي دراسة مدي فاعلية حمض الهيالورونيك المعزز بالموجات فوق الصوتية على التئام القرح الوريدية. وقد أجريت هذه الدراسة على أربعة وستين مريضا تتراوح أعمارهم بين ٣٦-٦٨ سنة. وقد تم تقسيمهم عشوائيا الي مجموعتين: المجموعة الأولي (أ) تلقت حمض الهيالورونيك أسيد عبر الموجات فوق الصوتية لمدة دقائق في الجلسة طبقا لمساحة القرحة بتردد واحد ميجاهرتز وشدة تيار تساوي نص وات/سم٢ بواقع ثلاث جلسات أسبوعيا وذلك لمدة شهر. في حين تلقت المجموعة الثانية (ب) الموجات فوق الصوتية أولا ثم التطبيق الموضعي لحمض الهيالورونيك بنفس اعدادات الجهاز ولنفس المدة كالمجموعة (أ). وقد تم القياس باستخدام: تطبيق التليفون المحمول (اميتوميچر) لقياس مساحة القرح وكذلك حساب معدل الالتئام وذلك للمجموعتين قبل العلاج وبعد أربعة أسابيع من بداية العلاج. وقد أظهرت النتائج أن هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجة تحسن المرضي في المجموعة (أ) عن المجموعة (ب). وطبقا لهذه النتائج يمكن أن نستخلص أن حمض الهيالورونيك المعزز بالموجات فوق الصوتية يعتبر وسيلة فعالة في علاج القرح الوريدية.
