Summary, etc. Transmission open channels are frequently needed to transport water over long distances. They <br/>typically operate by gravity, conveying water from a higher source to a lower destination. However, <br/>recent projects have increasingly proposed open channels where the destination elevation exceeds <br/>that of the source, or where the difference in elevation between source and destination is not <br/>sufficient to supply the required flow. This situation necessitates the incorporation of pump stations <br/>along the channel alignment to elevate water levels as needed, ensuring that the flow reaches the <br/>required destination elevation effectively. Consequently, pump stations represent one of the most <br/>substantial and critical factors influencing the overall cost of establishing open channel projects. <br/>Furthermore, the pump stations are key determinants of the operational and maintenance expenses. <br/>The main objective of this study was to develop a genetic algorithm-based model for automating <br/>the design and optimization process of open channels with pump stations. The model was developed <br/>based on an earlier version referred to as the Open Channel Comprehensive Design (OCCD) model <br/>which did not include pump stations. The new version of the OCCD model combines an <br/>optimization module with a hydraulic simulation and cost-estimation modules considering the cost <br/>of pump stations, operation, maintenance, earthwork, lining, and land acquisition to reduce the <br/>overall cost of transmission open channels with pump stations. <br/>By automating the design process and considering interdependencies between various design <br/>parameters, the model developed in this study can help engineers significantly reduce costs and <br/>improve the efficiency of the design process.

Summary, etc. بشكل تقليدي، عند تصميم القنوات المفتوحة المزودة بمحطات رفع، يتم تحديد مسار القناة أولاً، يليه القطاع الطولي للقناة والذي يتضمن عدد محطات الرفع ومواقعها وقيم روافعها الاستاتيكية، وأخيراً أبعاد المقطع العرضي. هذا الأسلوب التصميمي يفتقد الدمج لأنه يتناول كل خطوة بشكل مستقل دون النظر إلى الترابط بين هذه المعايير التصميمية. <br/>لذلك، كان الهدف الرئيسي من هذه الدراسة هو تطوير نموذج قائم على الخوارزمية الجينية لميكنة عملية تصميم واستمثال القنوات المفتوحة ذات محطات الرفع. تم تطوير النموذج انطلاقاً من نسخة سابقة يشار إليها بنموذج التصميم الشامل للقنوات المفتوحة (OCCD) والذي لم يتضمن محطات الرفع. وقد جمعت النسخة المطورة لنموذج التصميم الشامل للقنوات المفتوحة بين نموذج التصميم الأمثل ونموذجي المحاكاة الهيدروليكية وتقدير التكلفة مع الأخذ في الاعتبار تكلفة محطات الرفع والتشغيل والصيانة والأعمال الترابية والتبطين واحتياز الأراضي بهدف تقليل التكلفة الإجمالية لقنوات النقل المفتوحة ذات محطات الرفع.<br/>من خلال ميكنة عملية التصميم ومراعاة أوجه الترابط بين مختلف متغيرات التصميم، يمكن للنموذج الذي تم تطويره في هذه الدراسة أن يساعد المهندسين بشكل كبير على تقليل التكاليف وتحسين فعالية جهود التصميم.
