This study aims to examine the impact of factors influencing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system namely, top management support, effective communication, training, and IT infrastructure and its influence on the perceived organizational performance of Egyptian tourism organizations that own hotels and apply ERP system.<br/> To achieve the study’s objectives, five hypotheses were developed to assess the influence of these factors on the ERP system and to evaluate the system’s impact on the perceived organizational performance of Egyptian tourism organizations that own hotels and use ERP system. These hypotheses were tested depending on descriptive approach, using surveys and interviews in collecting data. The sample unit of this study was ERP users in tourism organizations that owned hotels and applied ERP system in their work in Greater Cairo. The validity of these hypotheses was tested using a survey as the primary data collection tool. A total of 300 online questionnaires were distributed to a judgmental non-probability sample consisting of ERP users working at various organizational levels in Egyptian tourism organizations that own hotels and use ERP system. Due to the difficulty in identifying the entire study population, the snowball sampling technique was employed to reach tourism organizations that own hotels and apply ERP system within Greater Cairo.<br/> Based on the statistical analysis purposes, the valid questionnaire number was 247 with a response rate of 83.3%. The study results revealed a significant positive impact of top management support, training, and IT infrastructure on ERP system and their influence on organizational performance. However, effective communication did not demonstrate a statistically significant impact on the ERP system. Based on these results, a set of recommendations was proposed to provide useful insights for future research, Top management, IT professionals, and decision-makers, particularly in Egyptian tourism organizations. |

تهدف هذه الدراسـة إلى فحص تأثير العوامل التي تؤثر على نظام تخطيط موارد المنظمة Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP)، المتمثلة في (دعم الإدارة العليـا، الاتصال الفعّـال، التدريب، والبنية التحتية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات) وأثر نظام ((ERPعلى الأداء التنظيمي المُدرك لمنظمات السياحية المصرية التي تمتلك فنادق وتطبق هذا النظام. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم تطوير خمسة فروض لقياس في مدي تأثير العوامل الخمسة على نظام ((ERP ودراسة أثر نظام ((ERPعلى الأداء التنظيمي للمنظمات. وقد تم اختبار صحة هذه الفروض من خلال إستخدام أسلوب الإستقصاء كأداة لجمع البيانات الأولية من خلال توزيع مجموعة من 300 استبيان إلكتروني عبر الإنترنت على عينة حكمية غير إحتمالية مكونة من (300 مفردة) من مستخدمي نظام ((ERP من العاملين في مستويات وظيفية مختلفة ولتعذر حصر مجتمع الدراسة تم الإعتماد على طريقة كرة الثلج في الوصول إلي المنظمات السياحية التي تمتلك فنادق وتطبق نظام ((ERP في أعمالها في منطقة القاهرة الكبرى. وقد بلغت عدد الاستبيانات الصالحة 247 استبيانًا بمعدل استجابة قدره 83.3.%. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلي وجود تأثير إيجابي فاعل لكل العوامل المتمثلة في (دعم الإدارة العليا، التدريب، والبنية التحتية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات) على نظام ((ERP ومدي تأُثيره علي الأداء التنظيمي بالمنظمة ومن ناحية أخري لم يكن لعامل (الاتصال الفعال) تأثير ذات فعالية علي نظام ((ERP. وبناء علي النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها تم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات لأغراض مستقبلية توفر رؤي مفيدة للباحثين، والأدرة العليا، والمتخصصين من خبراء قطاع المعلومات، وكذلك صناع القرار خصوصاً في المنظمات السياحية المصرية. |
