| Summary, etc. | A field experiment was undertaken at the Nubaria Agricultural Research <br/>Station farm, during two successive seasons of winter 2018-2019 wheat and <br/>summer 2019 sorghum in calcareous soil. This study improving the poor quality <br/>of calcareous soil and increasing its productivity through amendments, such as <br/>sugar beet waste, compost and mineral fertilizers application under two tillage <br/>practices surface tillage (T1) and deep tillage (T2). The experiment was <br/>arranged in a split split plot design. Results showed that bulk density was <br/>decreased while total porosity, hydraulic conductivity were increased by deep <br/>tillage with compost and sugar beet wastes application. The highest OM values <br/>were obtained from surface tillage practice associated with sugar beet wastes <br/>(W) and compost application. <br/>Available N values were increased by surface tillage practice (T1) with <br/>ammonium nitrate (F1) and sugar beet wastes (W) application compared with <br/>the other treatments, while available P was increased with urea formaldehyde <br/>(F2) and Sulphur (S) addition under deep tillage practice (T2). <br/>The highest available K was complemented by the addition of both K <br/>humate (KH) and urea formaldehyde (F2) under surface tillage practice (T1). <br/>Available Fe, Mn and Zn in soil were increased by surface tillage treatment <br/>(T1) with ammonium nitrate (F1) and sugar beet wastes (W) (4.60 kg mg-1), <br/>(2.41 kg mg-1 ) and ( 1.234 kg mg-1 ), respectively. <br/>In case of wheat, the grain, straw yield (ton fed-1) and weight 1000 grain (g) <br/>were augmented by deep tillage treatment (T2) with ammonium nitrate (F1) and <br/>sugar beet wastes (W) addition. <br/>On the other hand, case in sorghum, the highest attained values of fresh <br/>weight, dry yield and NPK concentration were achieved by surface tillage <br/>treatment (T1) associated with urea formaldehyde (F1) and sugar beet wastes <br/>(W) addition . |

| Summary, etc. | أجريت تجربة حقلية بمزرعة محطة بحوث النوبارية خلال موسم 2019-2018 لزراعة القمح كمحصول شتوىوالسورجم كمحصول صيفی في أرض جيرية تهدف ھذه الدراسة إلی تحسين الحالة السيئة للتربة الجيرية وزيادة إنتاجيتها من خلال اضافة بعض المحسنات مثل مخلفات بنجر السكر والسماد العضوي والأسمدة المعدنية تحت نوعين من الحرث سطحي (T1)، وحرث عميق (12) تم اجراء التجربة في تصميم احصائى قطعة منشقة مرتين٠<br/>أظهرت النتائج انخفاض الكثافة الظاهرية وزيادة المسامية الكلية والتوصيل الهيدروليكي بالحراثة العميقة مع إضافة السماد ومخلفات بنجر السكر وكانت أعلی قيم OM كانت من خلال ممارسة الحرث السطحي مع مخلفات بنجر السكر (٧٧)<br/>زيادة قيم النيتروجين المتاحه عن طريق ممارسة الحرث السطحي (T1) مع نترات الأمونيوم (F1) واضافة مخلفات بنجر السكر (W) مقارنة بالمعاملات الأخرى، بينما تمت زيادة الفوسفور المتيسر بإضافة اليوريا فورمالدهايد (2) وإضافة الكبريت (S) تحت ممارسة الحرث العميق (T2).<br/>أعطت إضافة هيومات البوتاسيوم (KH) واليوريا فورمالدهيد (F2) تحت الحرث السطحي أعلی قيم للبوتاسيوم المتيسر في التربة.<br/>تمت زيادة الحديد والمنجنيز والزنك المتيسر في التربة بالحرث السطحي (T1) مع اضافة نترات الأمونيوم (F1) ومخلفات بنجر السكر والقيم كانت 4.60، 2.41، 1.234مجم/كجم علی<br/>التوالي.<br/>في حالة القمح ، تمت زيادة محصول الحبوب والقش طن / فدان (ووزن 1000حبة )جم بمعاملة الحرث العميق (12)مع اضافة نترات الأمونيوم (1)و مخلفات بنجر السكر.(W)<br/>بينما في حالة السورجم ، كانت أعلی قيم للوزن الطازج والمحصول الجاف وتركيز NPK ناتجة عن معاملة الحرث السطحي (T1) مع إضافة اليوريا فورمالدهيد (F1)ومخلفات بنجر السكرW) |
