Summary, etc. Vibrating Barrier (ViBa) is a non-invasive strategy used to protect buildings, especially ancient and historic structures from seismic wave Vibrations. The ViBa is a spring-mass-damper device installed at a separate structure beneath the ground surrounding the building in concern of reducing ground motion dynamic energy without any intervention in the building. The step pyramid of Zoser was one of the archeological monuments affected by the 1992 Earthquake in Egypt. In this paper, a new approach to the ViBa design is proposed to protect the step pyramid of Zoser using an Artificial Neural Network (NN) allowing the optimization of the ViBa parameters. A numerical model tests the predicted ViBa parameters measuring the proposed ANN Architecture accuracy. The ANN shows a reduction in the peak step pyramid acceleration by 46% compared to 30% using the traditional stochastic approach. Tuning and optimization are performed on the developed ANN to obtain this reduction.

Summary, etc. إن حماية المباني والمنشآت الأثرية من مخاطر الزلازل أمر ضروري للحفاظ على الاهمية التاريخية والحضارية والإقتصادية لهذه المنشآت لذلك يجب حماية هذه المنشآت بدون تعديلها أو التأثيرعلى مظهرها. في هذه الورقة تمت دراسة جهاز مبتكر لتخفيف مخاطر الزلازل يسمى حاجز الاهتزاز . تم دراسة استخدام الANN في الهندسة الإنشائية. كما تم مناقشة تحسين هذا الجهاز (ViBa) باستخدام الشبكات العصبية الاصطناعية (ANN) ومقارنة نتائجها بطرق التصميم التقليدية وتم زيادة قيمة تخفيض أقصى تسارع لرد فعل المنشأ الى 38٪ مقارنة ب 30٪ بالطرق التقليدية. تمت دراسة تحسين بعض المعلمات الفائقة لالشبكات العصبية وتم رفع قيمة التخفيض إلى 46٪ . وأخيرا تم دراسة استخدام عدة أنواع من الشبكات العصبية الاصطناعية مثل الشبكات العصبية المتسلسلة والمتكررة.
