Back ground: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common entrapment <br/>neuropathy, which results from median nerve compression at the wrist, leading to <br/>pain, paresthesia and muscle weakness in the hand and forearm. Laser acupuncture <br/>(LA), a non-invasive therapy which uses Laser light to stimulate specific acupuncture <br/>points, is greatly helpful to relief pain of CTS. <br/>Aim of the study: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of laser <br/>acupuncture on carpal tunnel syndrome after delivery. <br/>Subjects and methods: This study was carried out on Forty multiparous women <br/>suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome after delivery, They were selected randomly <br/>from the outpatient Orthopedic clinic at Zagazig University Hospitals. Their ages <br/>were ranged from (25-35) years old, their body mass index didn’t exceed 30 kg/m², <br/>and their Parity will be ranged from (2-3) children. All patients were divided <br/>randomly into 2 groups equal in number, study group (A) & Control group (B). Study <br/>group (A) This group was consisted of 20 patients. Each patient in this group had <br/>received LLLT on the acupoints PC6 (Neiguan) and PC7 (Daling) for dominant hand <br/>for 90 seconds, 3 times/week for 8 weeks. Also each patient was asked to perform <br/>strengthening exercise program in her dominant hand for 10 minutes, 3 times/week <br/>for 8 weeks. Also, each patient was asked to wear a cock up splint throughout the <br/>treatment course which was adjusted at neutral angle all day and take it off during <br/>exercising and taking a shower throughout the treatment course (8 weeks). Control <br/>group (B) was consists of 20 patients, each patient in this group had received sham <br/>laser therapy on the acupoints PC6 (Neiguan) and PC7 (Daling) for dominant hand for <br/>90 seconds, 3 times/week for 8 weeks. Also each patient was asked to perform an <br/>exercise program as in group (A) in her dominant hand for 10 minutes, 3 times/week <br/>for 8 weeks. Also, each patient was asked to wear a cock up splint throughout the <br/>treatment course which was adjusted at neutral angle at all day and take it off during <br/>exercising and taking a shower throughout the treatment course (8 weeks). All <br/>patients in both groups (A&B) were evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and <br/>measuring serum cortisol level in blood plasma before starting and after the end of <br/>treatment program. <br/>Results: At the end of treatment course, percentage of improvement in VAS and <br/>plasma cortisol levels was significantly high in the study group compared to the <br/>control group which means that Laser Acupuncture was greatly effective in alleviating <br/>pain in women suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome after delivery. <br/>Conclusion: It was concluded that laser acupuncture is very effective in relieving <br/>pain of Carpal tunnel Syndrome after delivery. |

الخلفية: متلازمة النفق الرسغي هي ضغط العصب الأوسط في النفق الرسغي في المعصم و هي الأكثر شيوعاعن جميع متلازمات الانضغاط. ممايؤدي ا لىالألموالتنميلوضعفالعضلاتفياليدوالساعد. يعدالوخزبالإبربالليزرالمنخفض الشدة وهو علاج غير جراحي يستخدم ضوء الليزر لتحفيز نقاط الوخز بالإبر المحددة، مفيدًا جدًا في تخفيف آلام متلازمة النفق الرسغي.<br/>هدف الدراسة: أجريت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة تأثير الوخز بالإبر بالليزر على متلازمة النفق الرسغي بعد الولادة.<br/>المواضيع وطرق العمل: أجريت هذه الدراسة على أربعين سيدة متعددة الولادات تعانين من متلازمة النفق الرسغي بعد الولادة، تم اختيارهن عشوائياً من العيادة الخارجية لجراحة العظام بمستشفيات جامعة الزقازيق. وتراوحت أعمارهم بين (25-35) سنة، ولم يتجاوز مؤشر كتلة الجسم 30 كجم/م2، وتراوحت أعدادهم بين (2-3) أطفال. تم تقسيم جميع المرضى بشكل عشوائي إلى مجموعتين متساويتين في العدد، مجموعة الدراسة (أ) ومجموعة التحكم (ب). مجموعة (أ) تكونت هذه المجموعة من 20 مريضا. تلقى كل مريض في هذه المجموعة ليزر على نقاط الوخز المحددة مسبقا لليد المهيمنة لمدة 90 ثانية، 3 مرات/أسبوع لمدة 8 أسابيع. كما طُلب من كل مريضة أداء برنامج تمرين في يدها المسيطرة لمدة 10 دقائق، 3 مرات في الأسبوع لمدة 8 أسابيع. كما طُلب من كل مريض ارتداء جبيرة طوال فترة العلاج والتي تم ضبطها بزاوية محايدة طوال اليوم وخلعها أثناء ممارسة الرياضة والاستحمام طوال فترة العلاج (8 أسابيع). تتكون المجموعة (ب) من 20 مريضًا، تلقى كل مريض في هذه المجموعة ليزرًا زائفًا على نقاط الوخزالمحددة مسبقا لليد المهيمنة لمدة 90 ثانية، 3 مرات / أسبوع لمدة 8 أسابيع. كما طُلب من كل مريضة أداء برنامج تمرين في يدها المسيطرة لمدة 10 دقائق، 3 مرات في الأسبوع لمدة 8 أسابيع. كما طُلب من كل مريض ارتداء جبيرة طوال فترة العلاج والتي تم ضبطها بزاوية محايده طوال اليوم وخلعها أثناء ممارسة الرياضة والاستحمام طوال فترة العلاج (8 أسابيع). تم تقييم جميع المرضى في كلا المجموعتين (أ +ب) بواسطة مقياس الألم وقياس مستوى الكورتيزول في الدم في بلازما الدم قبل البدء وبعد انتهاء برنامج العلاج.<br/>النتائج: في نهاية مدة العلاج، كلا المجموعتينأظهروا انخفاض في مقياس شده الألم ومستوى الكورتيزول في الدمولكن نسبة الانخفاض كانت أكثر وضوحا في المجموعه أ بالمقارنه مع المجموعة ب .<br/>الاستنتاج: تم التوصل إلى أن الوخز بالإبر بالليزر فعال جدا في تخفيف آلام متلازمة النفق الرسغي بعد الولادة. |
