| Summary, etc. | تهدف الدراسة إلى قراءة نسوية لمليحمة "يوروبي" للشاعر موسخوس. وتستكشف الدراسة تصوير المرأة وتمثيلها في المليحمة، وربطها بالصورة النمطية للمرأة في الأدب والمجتمع الهلّينستي، وذلك من خلال معرفة كيف يتم تصوير أو تنميط الأنوثة والذكورة في المليحمة، ومن يقوم بدور البطولة. واستيضاح الدور الذي تلعبه المرأة في بناء المليحمة وفي رسم شخصياتها. وهل تلعب المرأة دورًا رئيسيًا أم يتم تهميشها واسكاتها. وتتكون الدراسة من مقدمة وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة. يتناول الفصل الأول مفهوم النسوية، ومكانة المرأة في العصر الهلّينستي وفي الأدب السكندري. ويحلل الفصل الثاني الثاني بنية المليحمة والتجديدات التي أدخلها موسخوس على أسطورة يوروبي. أما الفصل الثالث يتناول دور الشخصيات النسائية وتوضيح الصورة النمطية التي ميزتهم عن شخصية زيوس الذكر. |

| Summary, etc. | This thesis presents a feminist reading of Moschus’ Europa epyllion. It examines the depiction and representation of women in the epyllion, relating it to the stereotyping of women in Hellenistic literature and society. This aim is achieved by investigating how Moschus portrays femininity and masculinity, identifying the characters who embody of heroism, and determining whether women’s roles are primary or secondary. The study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter discusses the concept of feminism and the status of women in the Hellenistic era. The second chapter analyzes the epyllion’s structure and the innovations Moschus introduced to the myth of Europa. Finally, the third chapter examines the roles of female characters and compares them to the stereotypical images that distinguish them from male character Zeus. |
