| Summary, etc. | Women bear significant burdens both at home and in their professional lives, often leading to physical and mental strain. To cope with these challenges, they may turn to medications such as Cyclobenzaprine-HCl, originally developed as a tricyclic antidepressant but later repurposed as a muscle relaxant due to its structural similarities. Cyclobenzaprine-HCl effectively addresses muscle spasms, localized pain, and limited range of motion in acute musculoskeletal conditions. Intrigued by its potential effects on reproductive health, we investigated its impact on female Wistar rats. Eighteen adult female rats were divided into three groups: a control group receiving distilled water, a low-dose group administered 1.5 mg/kg of Cyclobenzaprine HCl, and a high-dose group receiving 3 mg/kg for 30 days via oral administration. We assessed serum hormonal levels, oxidative stress markers, histopathological changes, and DNA stability using the comet assay. Our study revealed hormonal imbalances, disruptions in oxidative stress markers characterized by elevated MDA and reduced GSH levels, histopathological abnormalities, and DNA instability in both dosage groups. These findings underscore the potential reproductive toxicity of Cyclobenzaprine-HCl in female rats. |

| Summary, etc. | تتحمل النساء أعباء كبيرة في حياتهن المهنية والمنزلية، مما يؤدي إلى ضغط بدني وعقلي. لمواجهة هذه التحديات، قد يلجأن إلى أدوية مثل سيكلوبنزابرين-هيدروكلوريد ، التي تم تطويرها في الأصل كمضاد اكتئاب ثلاثي الحلقات ولكن أعيدت تسميتها كباسط عضلي نظرًا لتشابهها الهيكلي. سيكلوبنزابرين-هيدروكلوريد يعالج بفعالية التشنجات العضلية، والألم الموضعي، والنطاق المحدود للحركة في الحالات الحادة للمشاكل العضلية الهيكلية. نظرًا لاهتمامنا بتأثيراتها المحتملة على الصحة الإنجابية، قمنا بدراسة تأثيرها على إناث الجرذان من نوع ويستار. تم تقسيم ثمانية عشر من الفئران الإناث البالغات إلى ثلاث مجموعات: مجموعة ضابطة تلقت ماء مقطر، مجموعة جرعة منخفضة تناولت 1.5 ملغ/كغ من سيكلوبنزابرين-هيدروكلوريد ، ومجموعة جرعة عالية تناولت 3 ملغ/كغ لمدة 30 يومًا عن طريق الفم. قمنا بتقييم مستويات الهرمونات في الدم، وعلامات الإجهاد التأكسدي، والتغيرات النسجية المرضية، واستقرار الحمض النووي باستخدام اختبار كوميت. كشفت دراستنا عن اختلالات هرمونية، واضطرابات في علامات الإجهاد التأكسدي التي تميزت بارتفاع المالونديالديهيد وانخفاض مستويات الجلوتاثيون ، وتغيرات نسجية مرضية، وحدوث خلل الحمض النووي في كلا المجموعات المعالجة. تبرز هذه النتائج سمية سيكلوبنزابرين-هيدروكلوريد المحتملة على الصحة الإنجابية في الجرذان الإناث. |
