| Summary, etc. | Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among women, highlighting the urgent need for reliable, non-invasive diagnostic biomarkers. This study investigates the clinical significance of miR-155, miR-195, and MIC-B expression levels in the peripheral blood (PB) of breast cancer patients. The results revealed a significant upregulation of miR-155 and a downregulation of miR-195 in breast cancer patients compared to healthy controls. Notably, elevated miR-155 levels were associated with distant metastasis, while miR-195 expression was significantly lower in patients with positive estrogen/progesterone receptor status. Furthermore, MIC-B expression was markedly decreased, suggesting a potential role in tumor immune evasion. Receiver Operating Characteristic curve analysis demonstrated that miR-155 and miR-195 possess high diagnostic accuracy, with their combined expression achieving a sensitivity of 91.1%, specificity of 96.7%, and an AUC of 0.926. These findings indicate that miR-155, miR-195, and MIC-B are promising biomarkers for breast cancer detection, with potential applications in prognosis. Further research is warranted to elucidate their mechanistic roles in breast cancer progression and assess their viability as therapeutic targets. These biomarkers into clinical practice could enhance early diagnosis and treatment. |
