| Summary, etc. | Background: Occupational physical hazards represent significant occupational risks for healthcare workers in family health centers. Physical hazards in healthcare settings pose significant long-term health risks to workers, with effects ranging from physiological to genetic impacts Aim: To assess the reported and the observed occupational physical hazards among workers in family health centers in Cairo, Egypt. Methods: A descriptive correlational research design was employed with a convenience sample of 114 healthcare workers. Results: The study sample was predominantly female workers (79.8%), with 47.4% aged 25-35 years. Nurses represented the largest professional group (33.3%). Noise and radiation are the most significant hazards in family health centers, with near-perfect agreement between self-reported frequency (98.2% and 96.5%) and observed risk (100% for both). Extreme temperature ranks third (54.4% self-reported, 50% observed), followed by electricity and lighting. There were strong, statistically significant differences between self-reported and observed work-related hazards, in lighting (p = 0.000), fall (p = 0.009) and fire hazards (p = 0.000). Conclusion: Healthcare workers in family health centers face significant occupational physical hazards, with noise and radiation emerging as the most severe risks based on both self-reported and observations. Substantial discrepancies exist between workers' reports and objective assessments of lighting, fall, and fire hazards, highlighting the need for comprehensive hazard evaluation approaches that combine both subjective and objective measurements. Recommendations: Implement comprehensive noise and radiation protection programs with regular monitoring, protective equipment availability and specialized training for all healthcare workers. Address perception-reality gaps through targeted safety training that improves fall risk awareness while providing reassurance about existing fire safety measures. |

| Summary, etc. | تعد المخاطر الفيزيائية المهنية من المخاطر الهامة التي يتعرض لها العاملون في مراكز صحة لأسرة. وتشكل هذه المخاطر في بيئة الرعاية الصحية تهديدات صحية طوية المدى للعاملين، وتتروح آثارها من التأثيرات الفسيولوجية إلى التأثيرات الجينية.الهدف: تقييم المخاطر الفيزيائية مهنية المبلغ عنها من العاملين والملاحظة في مراكز صحة الأسرة في القاهرة، مصر. تصميم لدراسة: تم استخدام تصميم بحث وصفي ارتباطي، مع اختيار عينة ملائمة مكونة من 114 من العاملين في مجال الرعاية الصحية. النتائج: كان غالبية أفراد العينة من الإناث (79.8%/، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 25-35 سنة (47.4). وقد شكل طاقم لتمريض أكبر فئة مهنية بنسبة (%33.3). ثُعد الضوضاء والإشعاع من أكثر المخاطر شدة في مراكز صحة الأسرة، مع وجود تطابق شبه تام بين معدل التكرار المبلغ عنه ذاتيا (98.2% و96.5%) والخطر الملاحظ فعليا (%100 لكليهما). تأتي ارتفاع درات الحرارة في المرتبة الثالثة (54.4% مبلغ عنها ذاتيا، %50 ملاحظة)، تليها مخاطر الكهرباء والإضاءة. وجدت فروق قوية ودالة إحصائيا بين مخطر الفيزيائية المبلغ عنها والملاحظة فعلً فيما يخص الإضاة (0.000 = )، ومخاطر لسقوط (0.009 =p)، والحرائق (0.000 = p) الاستنتاج: يواجه العاملون في مراكز صحة لأسرة مخاطر فيزيائية مهنية كبيرة، وثُعد الضوضاء والإشعاع من أعلى المخاطر، سواء من حيث المبلغ عنها بواسطة العملين والتي تم ملاحظاتها بواسطة الباحث. كما ؤجدت تاوتات جوهرية بين تقرير العاملين والبيانات الملاحظة فيما يتعلق بمخاطرالضوضاء والسقوط والحرائق، مما يرز الحاجة إلى تبني أساليب تقييم شاملة لمخاطر تجمع بين القياسات الذاتية الموضوعية. التوصيات: تطبيق برامج شاملة لحماية العاملين من الضوضاء والإشعاع تتضمن لمراقبة المنتظمة، وتوفير معدات الوقاية الشخصية، والتدريب المتخصص لكافة لعاملين لصحيين. كما يُوصى بسد الفجوة بين التصور الذاتي والواقع الفعلي من خلال تدريب موجه تحسي الوعي بمخاطر السقوط، مع تعزيز الثقة بالإجراءات الحالية الخاصة بالسلامة من <br/>الحرائق. |
