| Summary, etc. | Both anterior-to-posterior screw fixation using indirect reduction and posterior <br/>buttress plating via direct reduction through the posterolateral approach are viable <br/>options for stabilizing the posterior column in Pilon fractures involving two, three, or <br/>four columns, and both can result in successful fracture union. However, based on our <br/>findings, posterior plating provided superior reduction quality and yielded better <br/> overall functional outcomes as reflected by higher AOFAS scores. |
