| Summary, etc. | Spiral hand fractures have special characters. They are the result of torsional <br/>forces and can cause rotational mal-alignment. Inter-fragmentary lag screws <br/>fixation represents a very good method for dealing with such rotationally <br/>unstable fractures especially younger patients who showed better results. <br/>Lag screw fixation offers a good alternative for fixation of spiral fractures of <br/>metacarpals with results as similar as mini-plates but still with lower cost and <br/>smaller wounds. |
