| Summary, etc. | يهدف البحث إلى دراسة أثر خصائص المديرين التنفيذيين على المسئولية الاجتماعية للشركات وانعكاس ذلك على قابلية التقارير المالية للقراءة، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف قام الباحث بإجراء دراسة تطبيقية على عينة من الشركات غير المالية المسجلة في البورصة المصرية، حيث بلغ حجم هذه العينة 50 شركة خلال الفترة من عام 2015م حتى عام 2020م، وبإجمالي عدد مشاهدات بلغ 300 مشاهدة. ولاختبار فروض الدراسة استخدم الباحث أسلوب تحليل المسار Path Analysis، والذي يعد أحد أساليب نمذجة المعادلة الهيكلية Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)، وذلك باستخدام برنامج التحليل الإحصائي STATA.أوضحت نتائج التحليل الإحصائي عدم وجود تأثير معنوي لخصائص المديرين التنفيذيين (الثقة الزائدة، القدرة الإدارية، النفوذ) على المسئولية الاجتماعية للشركات، ووجود تأثير سلبي معنوي بين المسئولية الاجتماعية للشركات وقابلية التقارير المالية للقراءة، كما تم التوصل لعدم وجود تأثير معنوي مباشر (أو غير مباشرة من خلال المسئولية الاجتماعية كمتغير وسيط) لخصائص المديرين التنفيذيين (الثقة الزائدة، القدرة الإدارية، النفوذ) على قابلية التقارير المالية للقراءة. |

| Summary, etc. | The research aims to study the impact of CEO characteristics on corporate social responsibility and its impact on the readability of financial reporting. To achieve this goal, the researcher conducted an applied study on a sample of non-financial companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange, where the size of this sample reached 50 companies during the period from 2015 to 2020, with a total number of observations reaching 300 observations. To test the study hypotheses, the researcher used the Path Analysis method, which is one of the structural equation modeling methods (SEM), using the STATA statistical analysis program.The results of the statistical analysis showed that there is no significant effect of CEO characteristics (overconfidence, managerial ability, power) on corporate social responsibility, and there is a significant negative effect between corporate social responsibility and the readability of financial reporting. It was also concluded that there is no significant direct effect (or indirect through social responsibility as a mediating variable) of CEO characteristics (overconfidence, managerial ability, power) on the readability of financial reporting. |
