| Summary, etc. | Background: Patellofemoral pain (PFP) resembles one of the major disabling knee <br/>disorders worldwide. The spine and lower extremities interact closely; however, no <br/>elucidation was identified to clarify the principal and compensatory factor of the <br/>patellofemoral pain. Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the <br/>relationship between sagittal spino-pelvic parameters; pelvic tilt, lumbar lordosis <br/>and knee joint function, joint position sense, and dynamic balance. Methods: <br/>Forty-two (36 females and 6 males) patients with chronic patellofemoral pain <br/>syndrome (>3 months). Their ages varied from (eighteen to thirty-five years old). <br/>patients were assessed for their degree of pelvic tilt (by palpation meter), lumbar <br/>lordosis angle (Bubble inclinometer), knee joint function (Anterior knee pain <br/>scale), knee joint position sense (Bubble inclinometer, and dynamic balance (Y <br/>balance test- lower quadrant). Results: Pelvic tilt showed a moderate negative <br/>correlation with JPE and a moderate positive correlation with posterolateral Y -<br/>balance test. No significant correlation was found between pelvic tilt and Anterior <br/>knee pain scale, anterior, posteromedial, and composite Y-balance tests. Lumbar <br/>lordosis had a moderate negative correlation with Anterior knee pain scale, but no <br/>significant correlation with other measures. Conclusion: it could be concluded that <br/>spino-pelvic parameters assessment should be considered and addressed in the <br/>assessment and management of participants with chronic PFPS for improved <br/>outcomes. |

| Summary, etc. | المقدمة: يعد ألم الرضفة الفخذي أحد اضطرابات الركبة المسببة للإعاقة الرئيسية في جميع أنحاء العالم. يتفاعل العمود الفقري والأطراف السفلية بشكل وثيق؛ ومع ذلك، لم يتم تحديد تفسير لتوضيح العامل الرئيسي والعامل الناتج عنه.<br/>الغرض: أُجريت هذه الدراسة للتحقيق في العلاقة بين قياسات العمود الفقري مع الحوض وتشمل ميل الحوض، الانحناء القطني وكلا من: وظيفة مفصل الركبة والاحساس بالموضع مع الاتزان الديناميكي في متلازمة الألم الرضفي الفخذي المزمن <br/>الاساليب والمرضي: شارك في الدراسة اثنان وأربعون (36 أنثى و6 ذكور) الذين يعانون من متلازمة الألم الرضفي الفخذي المزمن (أكثر من 3 أشهر). تراوحت أعمارهم بين (ثمانية عشر إلى خمسة وثلاثين عامًا). تم تقييم المشاركين لدرجة ميل الحوض، زاوية الانحناء القطني، وظيفة مفصل الركبة، إحساس وضع المفصل، والتوازن الديناميكي.<br/>النتائج: أظهر ميل الحوض ارتباطًا سلبيًا متوسطًا مع خطأ إحساس الوضع المشترك، وارتباطًا إيجابيًا متوسطًا مع اختبار التوازن Y في الاتجاه الخلفي الجانبي. لم يُعثر على ارتباط معنوي بين ميل الحوض ومقياس ألم الركبة الأمامي، أو اختبارات التوازن Y في الاتجاه الأمامي، الخلفي الإنسي، والمركب. أظهر الانحناء القطني ارتباطًا سلبيًا متوسطًا مع، ولكن لم يُعثر على ارتباط معنوي مع القياسات الأخرى.<br/>الاستنتاج: يمكن الاستنتاج بأنه يجب أخذ في الاعتبار تقييم قياسات العمود الفقري: ميل الحوض والانحناء القطني بعين الاعتبار ومعالجتها اثناء تقييم ووضع البرنامج العلاجي للمرضي الذين يعانون من متلازمة الألم الرضفي الفخذي المزمن لتحقيق أفضل النتائج. |
