| Summary, etc. | Greenhouse gases contribute to global warming by trapping infrared radiation and <br/>increasing Earth's temperature. The dry reforming of methane (DRM) is a process that <br/>converts these greenhouse gases into synthesis gas, a valuable intermediate that can be <br/>further processed into chemicals through the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. Despite its <br/>potential, DRM has not yet been adopted on an industrial scale due to the lack of <br/>economically viable catalysts that can endure coking and sintering. This study <br/>addresses the limitations of DRM by integrating it with high-temperature steam <br/>reforming of methane. Thermodynamic and kinetic analyses were conducted to <br/>evaluate the effects of various steam-to-carbon dioxide ratios. System equilibrium was <br/>maintained by minimizing Gibbs Free Energy. A Hybrid Genetic Algorithm was used <br/>to solve the system's equilibrium. This thesis also explores the conversion of biogas <br/>into syngas as.
