| Summary, etc. | This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of infection prevention <br/>and control standards set by (JCI), a globally recognized accreditation body, and <br/>(GAHAR), Egypt’s national healthcare regulatory entity (which is accreditated <br/>internationally). <br/>The researcher indicates that the research was conducted on the <br/>population of hospital workers The study community is one of the Egyptian <br/>hospitals that has received accreditation from the General Authority for Health <br/>Accreditation and Regulation and the Joint Commission International <br/>(GAHAR&JCI), which includes doctors, nurses and employees, the population <br/>size is 900 individuals. <br/>The results showed that, despite these methodological variances, both <br/>accreditation bodies exhibit strong alignment in their reliance on evidence-based <br/>practices, key performance indicators, and institutional commitment to patient <br/>safety. Their shared objectives underscore a complementary synergy between <br/>international norms and national imperatives, which together enhance healthcare-<br/>associated infection (HAI) prevention. Moreover, staff safety standards reflect a <br/>similar duality—JCI advocating comprehensive mental and occupational health <br/>frameworks, and GAHAR reinforcing mandatory vaccination and localized risk <br/>management protocols. <br/>The results concluded that, shortly there is no substantial difference between <br/>both accreditations but GAHAR`s is more correlated to local laws and regulations <br/>and more economic to financial resources of the hospital. |

| Summary, etc. | تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إجراء تحليل مقارن لمعايير الوقاية من العدوى ومكافحتها التي وضعتها اللجنة الدولية المشتركة (JCI)، وهي هيئة اعتماد معترف بها عالميًا، وهيئة تنظيم الرعاية الصحية الوطنية المصرية (GAHAR)، وهي الهيئة المعتمدة دوليًا.<br/>يشير الباحث إلى أن البحث أُجري على عينة من العاملين في المستشفيات المصرية. وتضم هذه العينة أحد المستشفيات المصرية الحاصلة على اعتماد من الهيئة العامة للاعتماد والتنظيم الصحي واللجنة الدولية المشتركة (GAHAR&JCI)، ويشمل أطباء وممرضين وموظفين، ويبلغ عدد أفراد العينة 900 فرد.<br/>أظهرت النتائج أنه على الرغم من هذه الاختلافات المنهجية، فإن كلا هيئتي الاعتماد تُظهران توافقًا قويًا في اعتمادهما على الممارسات القائمة على الأدلة، ومؤشرات الأداء الرئيسية، والالتزام المؤسسي بسلامة المرضى. وتؤكد أهدافهما المشتركة على وجود تآزر تكاملي بين المعايير الدولية والمتطلبات الوطنية، مما يُعزز معًا الوقاية من العدوى المرتبطة بالرعاية الصحية. علاوة على ذلك، تعكس معايير سلامة الموظفين ازدواجية مماثلة، حيث تدعو اللجنة الدولية المشتركة (JCI) إلى أطر شاملة للصحة النفسية والمهنية، بينما تعزز الهيئة العامة لاعتماد المستشفيات (GAHAR) التطعيم الإلزامي وبروتوكولات إدارة المخاطر المحلية. وخلصت النتائج إلى أنه باختصار، لا يوجد فرق جوهري بين الاعتمادين، إلا أن اعتماد الهيئة العامة لاعتماد المستشفيات (GAHAR) أكثر ارتباطًا بالقوانين واللوائح المحلية، وأكثر ملاءمةً للموارد المالية للمستشفى. |
